    Boy and girls,

I have made arrangements with one group so I will be at Uhebe crater on Saturday with gas/beer/water. I am carrying 10+ gallons of gas for them. I have the capability of carrying 20 more gallons. First come first served, unless you make prior arrangements ahead of time.

I figure on the following costs:

    Gas $8/gallon
    Beer $3/each
    Water .5L $3/each

If you want a gallon of gas and a beverage $10

My arrival time at the crater is TBD, my departure will be 1600 PDT.

Ride leaders prior arrangements will ensure that I am there to support your needs, and that I have fuel set aside for you.

Well Bob, that opens up a whole new ride... I was just getting ready to tell my ride leader I can't make my distances required..

Now, get out the maps and calculators to see what is required.

    Thanks for doing this..

Uh, Oh our ride is on Friday !

    Jack, what do you think?

The Steel Pass group needs a volunteer for Friday to meet us with some gas.

I would love for someone to meet us with gas. Ubehebe would be fine as that is a little over half way, and a volunteer can get there on pavement. We can pay for vehicle gas directly, or by paying $8.00 or so for gas for the bikes.

If no volunteer for Friday, I guess we could switch the ride to Saturday. Thoughts from those who signed up?

If anybody is riding in from the Inland Empire (I'm in Temecula) Wednesday morning and wants company (or doesn't mind keeping me company :lol3)

I cancelled my spot in Jimmy Lewis' class.....:cry, my Mom really needs some company for a few days so I won't be there until Wednesday afternoon (I'll have to meet you fellow classmates at the rally, those who sent site numbers, I'll find you so you can pass on some sand riding tips!)

Dang, this has been a crazy 4 weeks.....really hoping that these things don't really happen in threes :eek1

My girls will be tourists in the Scotty's / Furnace Creek area on Friday while we are riding. I'll check with them if we can put fuel cans in their truck.

Changing to Saturday is ok with me too..

Is there a place out of sight that we could stash gas Thursday night? I could drive out there and stage some if there is a pretty secure place to hide it. Looks like it is about a 80 mile each way drive, does that sound about right? Maybe somebody else could go by later and pick up the emptys. I am pretty sure my bike has the range to make the loop without a gas stop.
