    You wash your KLR? :lol3

I've heard that the only way a real GS rider washes his bike is when it rains or when he rides it through a stream... :deal

Absolutely! A clean and well maintained machine is important! This is the second time in the past three years.

I completely agree with a well maintained machine... the cleaning part I only do when I'm looking for something wrong with it... Although, I am almost anal about keeping my windscreen, headlight & headlight protector, fog lights, LED lights above my front fender, brake light, and turn signals clean all the time... I'm all about being seen...

Just make sure not to wash off the structural dirt that holds everything together. :lol3

I believe there are but conditions change every year so it is always different.
There is plenty to see even if you stay on the pavement.

I think Racheria would be big bike friendly.

Post over in the warp thread and ask around I dunno who is riding what this year. I am not (riding that is)

That would be me. Jonathan Stehn.

Big thanks to you Tom. I had a great ride home thanks to your loan of the shifter. Another 100 miles of dirt, a downpour to rinse off the dust, and a lively ride through the twists of Angeles Forest Highway.

    Young, HA! I am 44.

Your shifter is on its way home along with an incentive for your next ride.

    Thanks so much.

So, what happened with the other group to Cerro Gordo? I never did get an update other than only a couple went all the way to the Trams. We waited for over an hour at Cerro Gordo and again at the Trams, finally saw a few coming up as we were going back down.

The KLX guys didn't even show up for the ride I guess.

On Friday's Noob ride over Hunter Mtn. to Teakettle Junction, one of the riders made a group photo at the Junction. I wonder if whoever it was (shame on me for not knowing) would be so kind as to make it available to those on the ride. I've had one request for it already and I'm sure it would be appreciated by all!

It looked like a hard landing and could've been much much worse a couple feet to the right.
Glad you got up quick and okay.

South half of Saline Vly Rd was as bad as I have ever seen it. There were a couple more technical spots before getting out to the open valley, then 25+ miles of nasty rocky sandy washboard. Based on earlier progress, i'm guessing your overall speed average would've been ~10mph, and you would've been toast by the time you got to the springs.
Turning around there was the right decision :nod
