Yes I have had the BBQ at the Skylight Inn. It is easily in anyone's top 10 in NC. We used to have a hunting lease down on the river off of Hwy 11. I'd go back just for the Q if there wasn't so much boring asphalt between my house and there.

Nope, the Husky with nothing. I did swap the 'stitch out for the winter suit today, and wore my heated gear underneath.

How cold did it get there in the flatland? It was -2* this morning in Sylva.

Ours indicated +9* in Spartanburg. NOAA says it was +7* at the airport.

I normally depart the house around 0430, but I slept in today. I hit the road seconds after this photo was taken. The sandhills rarely see cold like this.
