I managed to get some fresh pictures yesterday of the bike in the wild (or at least out doors).
I dont think I have posted any from a decent distance with the newly painted black fork-leg protectors yet.

I still havent managed to get out in the forest for a decent shake-down ride yet. We were scheduled to head out Sunday gone but I managed to pull a muscle in my chest on Saturday. Soon...

Hi Greg ... wondering how did you managed to raise the double and single stand to accept the 21" front and 18" rear increase in height?
    Cheers,

Have the centre stand and side stand weld on extensions in place from my suspension raising kit.

You will need to extend the centre stand by around 16>20mm and the side stand by around 40mm.

To top it all off I have picked up a nasty cold from the snot faced kids that's tugging on that injured chest muscle as I cough or sneeze.... Arggh..:cry

    Wasp..have patience my friend!

Back on the subject. Your 21/18 setup is with the short dog bones on the back?
What is the new seat height more or less compared to stock?

    Wasp,

I have been following your thread(s) from the beginning, and have to say you are the reason the S10 is on the top of my list for my "big bike". I currently ride an XR650L, which I love, but want a bigger adventure touring bike, to explore western Canada and Alaska. I love the look of your bike and the mods you have done are impressive.

Now that the S10 is available here, I can't wait to take a ride on one and eventually add one to the garage. I may have to source a set of silver side panels and seat from you or someone else on your side of the world, much nicer than the black ones on the NA spec bikes.

Keep on doing your thing so all of us can see what a great bike the S10 is:clap

Thanks for the comments Grover. It is unbelievable how many people have said the same "I blame Greg for making me buy this bike" line...:lol3

Geez - I hope these bikes dont start shitting final drives or seizing engines... I'll have a bloody linch mob at my doorstep.:huh

Seriously though, with enough patience and the right amount of aggression (or desperation) this bike WILL go just about anywhere. Just dont get it bogged to the tank base or try and push it up a muddy hill on yer own:puke1 It'll break your heart - Literally:evil

Yes, I had to put the original suspension links back on mousitsas. My extended centre stand was just a little too low with the increase in ground clearance.

I do plan on cutting a set that are in the middle length between standard and my raising links just to prop it up a bit. I do love how the bike feels with the tail end raise slightly. Plus I have always enjoyed the reassurance of a bit extra ground clearance.

I have the seat set to low and It currently sits about the same (maybe a bee's dick higher) as with the OEM bike on the high set setting.

    Well spotted mate.

Wasp, you are a guru. You seem to understand the bike so well that you can do all those mods without the slightest heaadache. Cheers Mate.:D

GOOD LOOKING RIDE!!!!!!!!!!! It really looks like it could tackle anything now. Hope you don't mind but I plan on heading to Woody's to see about the same wheels and setup. Woody are you at the shop or still strolling around the globe? I'll be in Denver tomorrow. If you are not there who do I talk to?

I skyped with the Woodster yesterday and he's still in Germany. Will be for quite a while yet.
I have spoken with Zach and he is 100% up to speed with the S10 gig..

No problem with replicating the WASPmobile colors. Pay WWW for the wheelz and send copyright infringement payment to ME...:rofl:wink:.

Don't worry, I won't blame you for any failures:evil, especially when this bike is about 10K less than a BMW here. That is a tonne of final drives before it gets stupid:lol3.

Besides, its a Yamaha, how could it not be bullet proof and indestructable all at the same time:wink:.

Hi Greg ... worked a bit today and came with a side stand extension that looks nice ... it works for 'old S10's with 19-17' and 'new 21-18' because it is adjustable ... I still use the short links on my rear suspension and my seat is on the low position

Next step is something similar for the double stand.

Gadday wasp-man, just found this new thread:D . please to see you back in the "Beast" season where it belongs:deal....All creds to you on all the mods on your s10, they are all well researched and applied. It was your work in this area that has sent myself down the 21' front wheel route:wink::wink:. I was wondering when/if you you were going to put your front fork protectors into production?????? because when you do, i would dearly like to buy a pair:evil.keep up the great work and thankyou for openly sharing all of your hard work.not many people are prepared to do that without making money from it.:norton
