Absolutely fantastic pictures as always Dirk. You made my day. It reminds me that I need to take the time to read your book that I have on my coffe table.
I take it you are not disturbed by the vibrations of the HP 2?
You seriously have to get some sponsoring from Canon. I am quite sure another brand like to sponsor you otherwise. :)

Ha ha! I don't remember the sausage thing...not getting kinky I hope! I remember more meeting in the street, I was talking to the locals and looking at this bike that Yes, does have boxes, must not be a local...OH, he's turning round....OH he speaks English! And then talking for ages saying every ten minutes "We should really get coffee or something," until it was sunset on the hill and coffee time was long gone!

Yeah, I'm still going, but sadly the Yamaha died in Guatemala, so now I'm on an - equally little - Honda XR. In Bolivia now!

Making this, what? fours years ago now!

Did I read that you are in Namibia....? What's happening now with you then? Another ride, Africa...I'm sure we talked about that plan!

All the best! Good to hear from you!
    Nick

    Awesome trip!!!
Was sth I always considered on of the must do motorcycle trips (always loved riding coastlines),but with things standing as it is in north Africa it is even more remarkable that you do it now.
Once you pass through Greece, drop me a pm if you need anything for you or your bike-companion.I'm on the north-west boarder so I guess you will be passing by anyway.
Needless to say that your photography is superb! And your patience taking this timer shots is also admirable...:rofl

    Have a nice trip,
    Angelos

edit:just realized that you'll probably back home by now given the fact that your book is published...hahaha

Yep, I'm back again from Southern Africa and ready to continue the Via Mediterra RR. Thank you for your patience.

Before I cross the border to Hispania I stop over at a friend of mine, Oliver Zehner, who runs a nice guest house for riders, called Bikers Paradise, at the foothills of the Pyrenees. As usual there are a lot of guests and Mr. Kktos and me enjoy the company of Oliver and his guest for some rides.

Only Oliver went over the bridge.

In the background you'll spot the snowy Pic du Canigou. Almost impossible not to have it in the picture. Just watch the following ones.

Quick stop at the Eremita de Forca Real that offers a splendid view.

Me'n my toy at Forca Real. Thank you Oliver (or was it kktos?) for the picture.

Ok, roads are nice in the area but off-road as well. Oliver knows some decent tracks.

Time for a brake. Jürgen asked for a proper ice cream. There you go!

Though it's already some time ago I still remember this moment with Jürgen in a Café in Prades. Man, we had fun!

Hope you're enjoying your day as I did in Prades.

    Cheers
