This years gathering is now pictures and memories and what good memories it is.

I haven't gone through my photos yet but others are already sharing some of their's so I'm bringing them over here and getting this started.

Hi LB and everyone who came to this very fun filled festive gathering. Well, I only took two pictures this year (yea I know lame) but it was a beautiful place.

It was good seeing everyone again, and next year I should be in better shape to get out and ride more.

Again, a BIG shout-out For Log House Campground Margaret, Brian and their Son... "Semper Fi"

Hey LadyBug.. after seeing that cool banner and to rid ourselves of the confusion of the hells canyon rally Maybe, just maybe, we should call it the "Wallowa Valley ADV Jamboree"

    jam•bo•ree (ˌdʒæm bəˈri)

    n. 1. a carousal; any noisy merrymaking.
    2. a festive gathering, often including speeches and entertainment. :D

I was so happy to see all, got a wedding and live music too. :clap I hope nothing but the best for Mike and Tori on their adventurous life together :clap

Take care until next year, See you out there :ricky

I had a great time, thanks again to Ladybug, the staff at the Log House, Apple Jam for the awesome fajitas, IdahoSam for dragging seven of us there through the torrential downpour, and to everyone who worked so hard to coordinate and plan and made this a fun event for everyone :clap

Had a great ride getting to the Rally. We hit 800 miles (from Spokane Valley) when we arrived in Enterprise late Thursday. Came in cross country from New Meadows/McCall down the Kleinschmidt Grade and up the Hess Road over to Enterprise.

Left Friday morning going up the Wiskey Ck Road through the Shilo Ranch down to the Grande Ronde and Troy.

Bike resting going down to the Grande Ronde. Only rest in 1070 miles!

Sorry we didn;t get to ride with others, but met some past riding partners and talked past rides and those coming up. Started in Spokane Valley then Avery on the Little Joe. Hit Elk River, Pierce, Lowell, Elk City, Riggins, New Meadows, Enbterpriose, Troy, then back to Spokane Valley. As much dirt as possible.

Cut out trees, stopped by snow banks, rained on, hailed on, lots of muddy, rutted roads, herded cows, got lost a couple times, found ourselves. Had a great trip. My son's first ADV ride and he hasn't stopped talking about it since and planning for rides next year already.

What a great rally!! Bravo to Sherry, and Brian and Margaret, and everyone else that made it happen. We may have been the only 4-wheel vehicle there for the "rides," we didn't feel too out of place with all of the trailers and tow vehicles at camp :1drink

We decided to head out to Dug Bar and ended up meeting some fellow ADV'ers down at the River. We offered some cold drinks, but true to form, these ADV'ers had it covered! It was cool to see that we made some cameos in BGT595's photos, and we did have plenty of tools and an air compressor on board in case anyone needed something....no one did! :clap

oops....I guess we should be reading the road signs.....

I did miss not having a bike to ride...

    What a great road!

And if you have to get a flat....there are worse places for sure!

We actually had fun changing the flat and got it done quick enough that none of the riders caught up to us! It's all part of the adventure!

Some ADV'ers taking rest under the shade tree at Dug Bar (no snake this time).

It was fun having the horse whisperer there!!

Hamming it up at the Snake River!

Finishing the Dug Bar trip off at the Terminal Gravity Brewery didn't suck either.... :freaky

We had a blast and it was fun visiting with old friends, and meeting some new ones!

Here are the couple pics I got on Friday at Harl Butte with Sorebutt, and the two other guys I rode with. If someone can point out their screen names I would appreciate it :ear. One of the other guy was with Sorebutt and the other was from the Spokane area and rode a Triumph. I'm not sure but I think his screen name was rkclm. I had to leave Friday afternoon because of work... Looks like ya'll had a great day Saturday!

Rained most of the second day, and with temps around 37 at 7000' +ft on a 280 mile day, I didn't use the camera much.

Yep. Same story here.....an excellent good time in a stupendously vast location.
Wow. I said it a hundred times, and I heard it a thousand. Wow :eek1

I'll start with the curvy section coming up from Dug Bar.
    I know it's been photo'd a hundred times, but here's my take.

Future Mrs1911fan and I rode the tram up last year, on a day with about 500-mile visibility. That's where I proposed to her, but I don't remember the sign?

Thanks to Ladybug for putting this ride together! :clap
We left Bend on last Thursday and took our sweet time meandering through central Oregon making the way out east. Hiding out in the woods on gravel roads and speeding down some open highways too! Puffy clouds made for some pretty pictures that afternoon.
We thought the BMW was toast as it shut down outside of Post and wouldn't start up. Justin just took it apart and found a striped wire that was shorting out electrical system. He wrapped up the wire with my medical tape and we jumped it off my bike! Hoping that we wouldn't have to peform this procedure everytime we stopped back on the road and away we went.
Above was the meadow we camped at the first night we arrived with full bellies. The super nice lady at the Bear Valley Store in Seneca hooked us up with some chow so we mostly drank our dinner! :freaky Had a nice fire and the evening was beautiful with mild temps.
Rain started falling on us as we packed up the next morning. At the time little did I know that my boots were to be soaking wet for the next 3 days. We covered a lot of ground close to 300 miles that second day the wet wether had robbed us of some of the scenery, but at least there was no dust. Freezing cold and hungry we blasted out of the forest and sped toward camp past the rainbow and in to the sunset. Thank you Jeff and Shelly the fajitas were hot and delicious! :dg
Woke up with sun on Saturday :D and did the ride up to Hat Point then down to Dug Bar. That was a surprisingly fun road! :clap Met up with a few of the Hood River folks and the rattler down there. It was actually hot enough to take a dip in the water too! Justin picked up nail that really chewed up his back tire on the out he hobbled back to Enterprise with a plug and can of Fix a Flat.
With both of us having to work Monday we had to take off. Had to make another stop in La Grande to work on the rear tire again this time he put a tube inside of the tube less tire, that did the trick!

We slabed it home on the rural highways. I think we saw more deer in those 4 days than we normally see all summer :eek1 look out for those critters. Oh yeah and watch out for OrangeYZ's cougar too! Good to see everybody! :wave
