Woohoo! I am in for this trip at the beginning! I read throught your last trip, and really enjoyed hearing about all of the people you met. Have fun, enjoy yourself, and stay safe. I will be keeping tabs on you. BTW I love that you are taking the BMW down there with you. It looks like it could be my GS's twin.

I have changed the tires on the moto. It is getting close to departure time! I have also cleaned the air filter and all the other PM stuff. This will be the first extended trip on this moto since the Yellowknife/Inuvik/Dead Horse ride last year. I still have a few things left to do!

Just to remind you that sunday July 1´st, is the BIG election day here in Mexico so make your plans to cross the border accordingly.

hey donny, i was just thinking nof you yesterday...are you on a goldwing board? i'll be following your rr. don't use any big words :)

I use to be on a couple of Wing boards, but I have not visited them for months or years! Hey, I am from Mississippi, I couldn't use any big words if I wanted!

I'll pack some Indio in the tail box.

Figure we'll cross late Sunday or early Monday so no worries. It'll take all day Sunday to make the border by county roads. Super-slabbing is always an option. I hear IH-35 is beautiful this time of year.

The moto is loaded except for the laptop. I will take a quick 90 mile ride over to see my father before leaving, stopping by the cemetery in route. The I will return home have lunch and take care of a little banking business. This afternoon I will ride south to Greenville, MS and stay the night with Betty and Danny, leaving from there Friday morning to visit with Tracy and Madison in Dallas, TX. Schizzman and I will meet up Sunday morning and head to Mexico!




BTW, this picture was taken a few minutes ago! My cousin thought he saw something wrong with the first photo I posted. He saw that the grass was brown! It should have been, that picture was taken in 2010 when Sheryl and I were leaving on our first Mexico trip. I was too lazy to take a new picture the other day. I think the moto was cleaner back then! :eek1 That is probably because it has not been washed since the first picture was taken!

Hey Billy! If you look at the bottom left of the picture, you can see some green grass!
