Tim and I are going to Hunan Manor (west of 540 on Wedington) for lunch at 12:00 hours. Anybody want meet us there?
Ive got an old coleman generator, 2250 watts. 5hp briggs engine, it runs fine, starts one or two pulls, generates just fine, but the metal fuel tank has a rust hole, and it drips gas. Ive put JB weld on it, and that lasted about a year, im tired of messing with it. anyone here interested in it for $100? ( listed on craigslist for $150)
Wait is this one of those tricks like the spooning thing :) Travis said the parts are starting to come in. So hopefully soon i can join you guys on some rides.. Going to look into the classes and try and talk the wife into taking them as well
JB weld? meh. I had a fairly large hole in my Ford Van gas tank right in the back in the middle. I rubbed bar soap on it about 2-3 times a year, no problems. Drove the van for 10 years that way. Figured a fix-it-guy like you would know that one.
Oh yeah, I know that trick, as I said, ive grown tired of messing with it, ive got another generator already, just want to get rid of this one. Id braze it, or weld it if I wanted to fix it, tired of smelling like gasoline all the time anymore, aint no body got time for that.
its a rusty spot about the size of a nickel, and its perforated with many tiny holes. I figured it was worth $100 to someone, but I have been wrong, before, often.
Sounds like an ideal candidate for a five gallon auxiliary tank conversion to provide a longer run time. We'll worth a hundred bucks.
Martha and I went to the swill tonight. Great evening communing with my friends. We wouldn't let Ted sit at our table so Shelley felt sorry for him and sat in a booth with Ted. Kris is recovering nicely from his get off but he is still wearing a brace on his wrist. He demonstrates the entirety of his mobility for us below: Kris' new found talents allow him to indicate EXACTLY how he feels about Doc....errrrrr us.
