With the caveat that not if the weather is bad, active precipitation

By Saturday Evening ( boy may have Little League)

I will bring my Van , van and trailer and make a wood run for the slabs I hear are at the place down rt 49.

Like a Harley ride trailer would be available to hawl

If you give me a heads up, ill be glad to go with you to get the wood.

It's not this weekend, thankfully, but next weekend. Just figured I'd say it, because people do mix up dates sometimes. Looks like were in for a hell of a Northeastern storm this weekend.

I finally committed to taking Friday off. If there's anyone still interested in camping Thursday night, let me know.

I'd consider Thursday night but I will almost definitely have to work Friday.. That doesn't rule it out however.

I sort of feel weird about leaving my gear at camp during the day but I do that when I'm out riding normally so there really isn't any difference. I'd just be further away..

Are you (Rob) still planning to camp the full time off the big bike?

I will be coming down on Sat morning and staying over Sat night...
I am a slower rider and have the whole route loaded on my gps..
So I may hang back and sweep the back of the route...

I just won't know what to do if I find someone who needs help:wink:

just roll up and set up in a site with other ADV'ers or a grab a site of your own. The sites are available on a first come first serve basis. I believe it's $14 per site for CT residents and $24 per site for non-CT residents.. The rangers stop by at their convenience, generally late afternoon, and gather a bit of info on the site residents and tag numbers if you have a car/truck there.. Sometimes they don't come by at all which equals free camping with facilities!

I believe it's only 2 or maybe 3 cars/trucks per site but so far it's been unlimited bikes per site.. The rangers will sometimes give you a hard time if you pitch a tent too far into the woods so try to keep the tents within the obvious clearings even if there are better sites 50 feet into the woods.. Personally; I hate setting up a tent on hard pack gravel but it's a small price to pay for a great "enduro" route that's open to the public and free of charge!

I'll be riding at a less-than-hyper pace as well, and learning the ins and outs of a Garmin Montana 600.

I just picked up the powered cradle for my 600, no more running low on batteries before running low on trail to ride!

Thanks for the link- I've been reading a lot, and trying to weed through the numerous gps threads.
Do I need to purchase the NE topo maps to make it useful in the woods? I downloaded akarob's route but can't seem to find it in the device.
