there are quite a few custom ear plug companies and they all usually can do them into headphones/earbuds.
i've seen them at the bike shows, but they're spendy.

i just googled it and came up with these.....

    http://www.earphonesolutions.com/beeaformori.html

    http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/noise-reduction-earphones/

    http://motorcycleearz.com/custom-fitted-in-ear-plugs.php

and there is a thread on here ....

I've had a pair of customs, I thought they sucked the big wangaloo.

I use Etymotic E6-i's, had a couple of pair and they are just flat out awesome.

Give Etymotic a look. Link :thumb

Cycle Gear has a 12v power outlet with all the wiring, inline fuse and a mounting bracket for under $20. Super easy to wire up to the battery. Get a USB 12v outlet plug with 2 slots in it and you're covered.

RAZR is dead on about the custom plugs/ear buds, the right set and it's awesome, but pricey. My buddy works for Skull Candy and gave me some new ear buds to try out, There stuff is pretty low end but these new ones I have are pretty damn good, I'll find out the model and let you know.

Ditto on the Skull Candy. I think I paid about $30 for mine, sound great, I don't need to crank the volume. Pretty easy to get my helmet on without pulling them out.

My helmets fit too tight to use ear buds without feeling like they are going to punch through my eardrums. Speakers are OK in the road helmet, but the DS helmet (Shoei Hornet) fits too tight over the ears to do it comfortably for long periods of time.

Here are the skull candy ear buds that I am using now. They are designed with a kind of fitted design that fits perfect in your ear and stays in place. Also has a built in mic for phone use.

Etymotics come with replacement sleeves and filters. Link
If they get dirty, you just trash them and start new...

I can't say enough good about them, they are like having your iPod hardwired to your brain. :super

    Yup, it's been superseded. Link

I reckon any of their products will be excellent quality and performance.

I'm on my second pair of ER-6i's, when they get lost / broken I'll replace them with new Etymotics. :thumb

Last weekend had a few big bikes out beyond the BS last weekend ... The big BMW seemed to fit in just fine with the big KTMs

Nice to see everyone getting along...

I don't know how you guys can ride with earbuds its so dangerous to ride with those things in your ears, and besides I can't hear the voices in my head.

Glad the BMWs and KTMs are getting along again, after all they are neighbors.

Keep it up boys and girls...
