Wanting to see his crew swim? :deal :lol3 I dunno, I just did it? :lol3 It wasn't really something I "thought" about, you notice when he started to come around the corner that I started wiggling down closer to the water so he couldn't circle me as easily mainly for that reason (if he was stupid enough to get deep enough in the water I was going to HOLD him in the damn water:deal) :freaky

It's the only premium SPG available in WoT, so far.

I use it to farm credit and EXP for my Bat Chat 155 crew which has 472% (100% plus 3 skills/perks, 4th skill at 72%).

105 leFH has large ammo capacity, cheap to stock ammo & repair, decent accuracy, especially when gunner has Snap shot or Dead eye.

Good view range at 390m, combined with Recon, Situation awareness, goes up to 405; you can see the scouts coming at you.

Better gun traverse than Grille, aim circle do not expand to full with more gun movement. Quick reload and aiming, just don't do as much damage per shell, splash damage is low, too.

Mobility is poor, but with driver's skills like off-road driving and clutch braking, it gets tolerable.

It's got decent weight, along with Controlled impact, I had light tanks tried to ram me in the 105 le, but killed himself upon impact.

The ability to earn decent credit and low repair cost of running this SPG allows me to play the Bat Chat 155 with +30k repair bills each battle.

I truly believe people in your state have more fun than people in my state. :D

I'm living in the wrong state...

This is all I have for 'excitement' or for a challenge ... this is a water crossing I had just made, then turned around to photograph. All that's required is to time your crossing between 'gators passing and, for God's sake, don't stall the bike when the water is up to your seat. Stalling means someone gets to be the bait.

Man am I jealous of the views, the terrain and the people. Don't get me wrong, we do have some good people who are riders down here, but we have to ride about 200 miles to get to any sort of worthwhile place to ride. Damn... what am I doing here again?

I've got the 155, and I'm not sure what I think of it when compared to the 120.

The big plus is the 155 does stupid big damage - 600 to 800 pts for the AP, while the 120 does about 1/2 that.

The big minus is the 155's rate of fire is 1/2 that of the smaller gun - so if you miss or bounce, you have to wait a lot longer to try again.

This can be a big deal both ways in close-quarters fights or when your target is a "fast"-mover.

I haven't played with both guns enough to come to a firm conclusion either way on how they compare. I would imagine by the time you've earned the experience to buy the 155 you'll be pretty competent with the 120.

I would say that the US Easy 8 has a similar gun arrangement - except the big gun is HE only, so while when it connects it does a lot of damage, it has a longer reload cycle, and it's chance to connect is a fair bit lower than the next gun down. That gun has much better pen, and does about 1/2 the damage when it connects - but it connects more often. For that tank I wound up going with the "pen gun" because the big gun's misses / bounces were too costly in terms of time.

In comparison between the two that I'd consider the T95 to be a horizontal artillery platform, while the E8 is a flanking specialist.

papalobster, that ice riding looks like a hoot as well!

Ed, I'd love to come out there. Those views are incredible.

I'm worried my little lungs would have me passing out, now, at 8000 feet, lol.

I know some have stuck with the 120 on the T30 TD, but I tried the 155 and haven't gone back yet. I fully understand their argument that the T30 is a sitting duck while it reloads, but thus far I've only seen one or two tankers smart enough to take advantage of it... and if they were able to take advantage of it, it also meant that I wasn't smart, or was unlucky, and had no support around me.

Here's one for you XVM guys to look for

My XVM and my teammates XVM's were showing an anomaly today that depressed the hell out of me. Somehow my ever-so-slowly-climbing efficiency that was 1410 (via XVM) 24 hours ago is now showing as 1290 on XVM.

    So I screenshotted it:

After a few battles it wasn't fixing itself.

So I shut down XVM and WoT, then brought up a browser and WOTlabs which showed me 1411 (this is a screen shot of after another few fights, so this one shows 1412)

Starting XVM and WoT back up, my efficiency remained the same 1290.

And when we platooned with an old teammate of mine, Spreader_Dies, his XVM was showing me as 1290 as well!

I don't understand what is going on here, but please take a look at your XVM's over the next day or so and see if you see any efficiency discrepancies. :fishie

My efficiency is still showing up at 1370? (which sucks because it was about 1400 a few days ago) :dunno

Absolute shite matchmaker tonight. I should have quit after the first 20 losses :patch
Killing 3 and 4 a round and we still lost over and over.

All that said.. I did break 5K damage in a round with the ISU again :clap

That simply has to help your efficiency rate, right?!

My platoonmates' arguments and mine are simply that with me having 14,000 games, it is statistically impossible for me to have dropped over 100 efficiency points in the course of one day. In your case, with fewer battles, yeah, you're going to see some fluctuations ... but even 30 points difference seems high and unusual if you were that much higher just days ago). My guess is that for whatever reason that ISU-152 isn't doing you any favors for efficiency if that's what you've been playing the most of over the last 24 hours.

If you could use it to hide back and snipe at enemies who are capping your base, you'd get more efficiency points, but that's a contrived way of doing it, and it doesn't address very real team needs of any battle.

That's a good way to think of most big TD's (the exception being the 2nd Russian line ending in the Obj 263). Don't think of them as TD's.....think of them as direct fire arty with realllllly good camo.

And now that I have the BL-10, I'm finding it to be a hell of a lot of fun to smack Tier 8+ heavies for 800 points of damage and watching them retreat in terror because they couldn't see where the shot came from.

:photog Another good one is finding a good fire-for-effect spot, and then shooting them in the side as they drive by during the opening scramble for position.

14 games last night with a 71.43% win rate. I only lost 4, and only when I ran the Cromwell. Even platooned, I couldn't get a win with the Cromwell.

I brought this up last night, and I might be wrong, but if you leave the battle early to jump in another tank you lose any scout points. Is this correct?

Not that I'm aware of......the points you earn are the points you earn.
