I think more inmates than will admit were either inspired to ride more by LWR or felt a twinge of " That would be cool" from it. But it was too much drama, and remember, they didn't ride to Magadan, they were in the back of a truck.....still, it was an adventure, and this is Adventure Riders....just sayin.

+1 +1 - I started riding at 40 because of LWR and don't think people should take anythign away from them.

That being said, guys like Doug are one in a million and we can all learn a ton from watching his exploits. Ride on Doug - loving the RR (and dickin' around in Doug's garage).

True, they were in the back of a truck but not because they wanted to be. I'm really looking forward to Doug's trip over the ROB since it appears he's going to attempt to do it at the same time of year as LWR and they found it impassable on the bikes.

    Hi Doug, :clap

I always incorporate late in the story.
    fuck it, I'm so sorry.

Doug, it seems that you and Zoran from Cacak visited the place where I live - Studenica.
My twin brother told me that he saw two motorcycles near the monastery Studenica and should be one known from earlier (Zoran's motorcycle).

From now on I going to make a sign on the road with big letters ADV- free beer+free meal = 4 km :deal

    :freaky

Well, you're gone .... occasions in return.

all the best and safe trip !

My dad came solo to visit me from UK when he was 85. A World War 2 vet he proudly wore his navy tie and pin. He said he was treated like royalty everywhere he went.....except ATLANTA! You gotta know dad NEVER complained or talked bad about anyone unless they were present to defend themself. He said his treatment at Atlanta Airport was colder/scarier than a winter at Skappa Flow on a mine sweeper.

The ROB today is not what LWA encountered. Today a Honda civic could drive the whole route without issue. That's right it's graded and well maintained from Yakutsk to Magadan. Unless its been raining a lot in which case yer f'd. The old summer road on the other hand is a whole different deal, the real deal.
