I believe they do, you'll want the spark plug socket for sure.

Another BTW,,,,, I have a 42mm Mikuni that I have put on awhile back. I bought it used and it had some rather wierd jetting. It's too rich and I bought some jets from XRs Only. Supposedly, I bought one of each, the jets for roughly 1-2K feet {aftermarket pipe only}, then one over and one under. Once I get the battery relocation done, I'll yank the tank and start rejetting.

I've noticed y'all are using the Kiehn FCR,,,,,, is there a reason y'all like it over the 42mm Mikuni that XR's Only sells? Eventually, I'll get around to getting someone to split the cases, add my NSX650 2nd and FMX650 5th gears, a big bore and cam. Maybe get a CW head and big fins. Till then,,,, bench racing is fun I suppose.

Honda quit adding the tool kit back about 2007 or 2008. I don't remember for sure which. It is still available, you just have to buy it separately. I recommend buying the spark plug wrench, and then making up the rest of your tool kit yourself.

That's not right. My '06 came with one. It was in the pouch with the owners manuals. I sometimes suspect dealers keep them to sell later, but if they don't come with anymore, that's just not right.

Yea, that's a shame. Maybe I'll write a letter to Honda.

Honda or course does sell a tool kit.

Here's mine. The 6" Crescent ( adjustable spanner ) opens to 24MM for the axle. The Vice grip is a do all tool and can be a shifter in a pinch. The Motion Pro spark plug socket used with 3/8 to 1/4 drive adaptor gets the plug out and doubles as a screw driver handle with a custom made bit adaptor. I carry a lot more than I need for my bike so that I can lend assistances to lees well prepared Adventurers I may encounter on my journeys.

That's a nice set. Knipex tools are excellent and you get what you pay for...

Is the Motion Pro socket the 18mm?

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the nice tool roll?

Yes, spot on. 18mm. If you use a Champion plug ( RA6HC 5/8" hex) you can use a standard plug socket and extension.

The tool wrap is from Northern Tool wrench set. I cut it down and added snaps where needed.

I lucked out on the Knipex tools. Our Lowes Store had a half priced introductory sale so I bought a complete set then ditched all my old stuff.

Also very useful tools are the 6" Ridge pipe wrench and 3" adjustable spanner. You can sure tell the ones that get the use!

The Knipex mini bolt cutter made quick work of spokes during a re-lace project.

Definitely a couple must haves. My baby Vice Grips saved my ass on my first wilderness "flat" experience. It was the only tool strong enough to get the back axle loose.

This trip taught me the tools are brought along for a purpose. Pack like your life may depend on it (it did), but don't over pack (I did). Bring what you need, and not what you don't. Seems logical. These are words to live by - literally.

Not XR related, but there are gear heads on here who will appreciate it:lol3
This "thing" lives about a half mile from my house... right between me and Lowe's so I see it sitting in the driveway all the time. I am wondering how it would do with off-road tires? Couldn't be that bad:lol3

It probably has a turning circle of about a half mile.
