Question for blaster, dorito, et. al... Are you guys planning another longer excursion next (2014) summer? I have two weeks to do something. Current plan is for a Trans Lab-ish run, but I was curious if other things may be in the works...

I apologise if I missed it. I seem to miss a lot that goes on these boards until the last second...

Have you ever nailed jello to wall? Other than I leave on Sat to start this year's voyage, it's tough to say what the future might hold. Leave and funding seem to set the travel limits. However, since we are dreaming today:

Fall/Winter 2014: South America (fly-n-ride) 3 weeks
Summer 2015: Alaska (ship-n-ride) 4 weeks

At some point, we’ll probably leave bikes out west in storage and do 4-5 fly-and-rides:

• Barstow to Vegas Dual Sport
• Backcountry Discovery Tours (Utah and Colorado)
• Trans America Trail
• There was also another CO ride whose name escapes me right now

And then there is more on the bucket list...

• Hatfield and McCoy trails
• Trans Eastern Trail (few more sections)
• Trans Canadian Trail
• California coast and Lake Tahoe
• Cannonshots Upper Pennisula (Michigan)

So, what's everyone else got on the wanderlust bucket list?

A nice morning it was! On the walk today, I noticed there was a yellow leaf which had already fallen from my maple tree today.

Maryland to Panama followed by Columbia to Ushuaia
Great River Road South to North riding all the Mississippi River ferries
Continental Divide
Lap of Lake Superior
Dempster Highway

Dorito beat me to the punch but she put it better than I would have anyway. We have a lot of things we would like to do next year but I will be a bit leave limited and if we do the furlough thing again it will be $$$ limited as well. Your best bet is to stay tuned and honestly throw some stuff out that you want to do. I am quite sure someone else is thinking the same things you are and just needs someone to ride with. Trust me....plan it and they will come!

Here is a bike setup tip from the Jimmy Lewis riding school.

The Eagle Bay list serve indicates there will be some folks riding this weekend, if anyone if looking for a wingmate. It rained quite heavily on Sun, so the dust should be down. Should be in the 80s.

I personally would love some Silver Skewer (is that place still open?), but I believe a cold front is coming through between Thurs and Fri. I would also need to bring the fam, as my wife will refuse to be left out on some Skewer

So Dave did you see the military fuel truck all spun out in the road yesterday....that must of been one scary ride!!! :eek1 I see you are back to riding the 990 again.

What fuel truck? I played hookie yesterday and went to Kings Dominion with the family...
