So, would you wait until the light turns green? Being NJ, I'm thinking there might be a cop in scuba gear ready to issue tickets for those who disobey the traffic signals.

Spent the first 17 years of my life in South Jersey, still have lots of family and friends there. It saddens me a bit to see these pictures. Sounds like coastal flooding is going to be the biggest problem.

Good luck to any of you FF's who live in these areas..

Already have one in the garage, and one in the room right next to it. They work great too! Last Friday while blowing leaves (that turned into quite the waste of time) the garage door was open while running the blower close to it, and the whole house was going ape shit in about 30 seconds.

Luckily the 120 foot tall tulip poplars have dropped most of their leaves already.

Still hanging in there in seaford LI. Still have power and no immediate flooding but some local flooding does have me concerned. High tide is around 7 so we will see how that goes.

Wow :eek1 looks a bit crazy out there in places.

Nice updates Chris, be safe & keepem coming. Some of us have to work, boss is a slave driver :D.

As long as I've got power I'll be working, the roof is rattling but no real problems here in the Farmingdale NJ (about 12 minutes west of Belmar NJ) as of yet.

    Hey Guys
sitting in the hyatt hotel in morristown NJ.. there is a bit of rain probably had about 1.5 inches since last night
there is no water running down the gutters on the streets
got into the states from dubai for the first time in my life and its a bloody cyclone coming in to as well..
used to cyclones as i am from Cairns in Oz,,
if you listen to CBS news you would think NJ,NY,Long island etc were doomed...
sounds like there is going to be flooding in low areas due to the high tide tonight and the storm surge...

wind atm is blowing about 20mph and the rain is on and off...very few cars on the roads,,the visiblity from the 9th floor on the hyatt is about 5 miles..

good luck to anyone in the low areas...
    reef

ps the wind just gusted to about 35 mph then and the rain is starting again,,vis down to 3 miles now

It wasn't bad at noon on the Ct coast, so I took a ride down to the local state park.

    Or at least, I tried.

I walked down a little bit to gauge its depth, my intake would be underwater before hitting the deepest part of the road.
