    Yeah, tell me about it.

Went up over today. Nice ride. Groomed pretty good on this side, but rough on the far side. Haven't been thru the west gate since they went remote. Had to hold my license up to the camera so they could open the gate. :rofl

Rode out to the Steele Hills, then looped back down Tres Alamos and over the hills to town.

looking at the map from benson to safford, is there another route other than cascabel to three links to ft grant to bonita klondyke? looking for dirt suitable for a tenere with tourance tires, but entertaining enough for another rider on a 690ktm with knobbies.
base plan is from sierra vista to gila box, but im trying to decide which side to camp on. I know i want wilderness rather than campground. I am entertaining the thought of exploring one side, camping, then coming back on the other side of the gila river.

From Benson find S. Lonesome rd. east of the Pomerene exit off the south frontage rd. Ride the main route to Sibyl rd. Ride it to within a few hundred yards of I10 and look for Touchstone trail, take it to Dragoon. Ride the paved Dragoon rd. to Manzora rd. through Cochise to the RR overpass at 191, cross it then turn onto Railroad Ave. crossing the Playa will put you in downtown Wilcox.

These two links are what I describe above and some.

Or from Tombstone take Middlemarch pass to SSV, slab Apache pass rd. to Bowie and find Fan rd. Take it to Hackel rd. pass the Hot well dunes, then onto Safford

From Fan rd you can also access Hackberry rd. ( sandy ) to 70 then Old Duncan Hiway to 191 then onto The Black Hills back country biway.

    When are you doing this?

Encountering more traffic on the river road than I do normally in 5 trips combined, I was happy to see my exit.

With forty seven miles to backtrack I was out of time for further exploring, I pointed it back towards the river.

Found time to finish the project I started on Sunday.
And I spotted the third cemetery I know of in this part of the valley.

Rolling along, I was anticipating the section that I had not been on in six years. After that it would be new country for me.
