thanks for all the feed back. I might consider the nomad tank.
Does anyone know if I go back to the stock fuel mapping will it get better gas mileage? I have the Akro pipe on it already

Stock map (no jumper) is way too lean, yes you'll get better mileage by trading engine longevity. I suggest at least the race map and better yet a tuner.

the difference in mileage would be to small to worry about, ya gotta remember with the engine being able to breath better without the standard pipe you'll probably get better economy anyway because you don't have to use as much throttle to perform a certain speed... race map might sound like something drastic but it's not, it's just a small tweak to make sure it doesn't run to lean whicj in the long run is better for the motor's life

    cheers
    Reg

Thanks guys. I appreciate the responses. One last question. After the bike warms up it idles pretty fast. Fast enough that I could start from a stop with out any input from the throttle. I can drag it down with the brake and it idles normal. But when I blip the throttle it idles fast again. Any ideas. When you first start up,it idles fine.

Yep it does tend to idle fast. it will drop back a bit when warm but it will still seem a fast idle.. i think it's an EFI thing as my 660tenere EFI was the same.. they just tend to idle faster than carby bikes.

There is a TPS reset sticky thread over at Cafe Husky. Always a good idea to make sure the TPS is right.

Does the super expensive red gas cap go on easier than the stock one. the stock one is a real pain to get on and off. Are there other solutions?

The stock plastic cap swells and deforms over time. Making it a bitch to get off. Mine got to the point that I had to use my Leatherman tool to loosen the gas cap. Just get the spendy red one.

Eventually we all get to that point. Same goes for the 21.5mm oil filter cover....eventually it rounds off and you get the purty red one.
