    Hi,

I have 2 weeks of vacation to burn up by the end of the year. I took 12/7 to 12/23 off. I want to load up the toyhauler and head south. I will be bringing the bandit 1250 and the dr350. I am coming from SE Wisconsin. Looking for suggestions on where to go. Some preferences:

    Good roads and trails

    Warm weather

    +- 1000 miles

    a motorcycle event ( dualsport )

    free beer

    Thanks,
    Dave

Hard to plan. Watch the storms build in the Gulf of Alaska. Look for building low pressure areas. Then you can have an idea of what the weather might be those weeks. Usually takes about 5 days +- a day for the storms to get to moab. Watch the jet Stream and you can get an idea of how far south the storms might go. Moab can be really great that time of year. Cold at night, the storms don't usually last more than a couple days, then it warms up again. Cold at night, but nice riding weather during the days. If the storms look to be going farther south, then you can head farther south too. A little moisture can make the riding great.

I'm not sure if it's within your mileage limits, but how about Big Bend in Texas?

This was my first thought, although weather can be fickle. The 350 would love the BB and Terlingua Ranch area.

    Think latitude and elevation.

The 350 shore could be fun in BB, but as said before weather can be iffy. If its wet a lot of the back roads in the park will be closed.
