I know...I saw it "live on TV". Its really unbelievable, but from the angles that I saw and the reaction of the entire USCe team..and Spurrier...I think it was short. It's like they were all looking at the same thing but seeing it differently. Turns out not to matter because of the turnover on the next play, but it was bizarre.
One camera angle was perpendicular to the ball and the sticks and there was easily a 6 inch gap between the end of the ball and the marker. Has to be one of the worst calls I've seen in a while. It's not like it was a live play.
