Will you be stocking the spare batteries in the future? http://www.senabluetooth.com/products/acc_SC-A0301.php (comes with a 2 Pin Connector to Micro USB Adapter so the batteries can be charged away from the main unit) Thanks :)
Ordered mine last night around 5pm and got an email from RocketMoto less than two hours later with a FedEx shipping number. Very impressed with RocketMoto service!! Now if the damn foot of snow we got last night would just freaking melt already! I have snow past the windows from it sliding off the roof. Makes an itchy biker frustrated!!
Anyone who has one, can you tell me how easy the unit is to operate with gloves? I'm trying to decide between the SMH10 and and 10R. I like the ease of use of the SMH10, but don't like that bulky look.
Having just installed mine I would say that it is not as glove friendly as the SMH10. That big jog dial on the 10 is very glove friendly from what I hear. Once you pair and start a ride I don't see a real need to touch this unit all day as it remembers volume control for each different device. I will say that the audio is great even for a hearing challenged guy like myself. The unit is so slim it is barely noticeable. Installation took about 30 minutes and now it looks and feels like part of the helmet. So far very pleased and can't wait for the snow to melt to give it a test. Everything about this product says "quality" and I thank RocketMoto for their advice and fast shipping. Two thumbs up!
I received a free set from SENA of the SMH10R for testing an audio cable for the K1200LT. I recently installed it on my new Shoei Neotec which took about 30mins which included time in deciding where to mount etc. Just returned from a trip to Southwest US ( Utah, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada) of 17 days & I found the audio to be the same as the SMH10, but also agree with a previous statement that the SMH10R is a little more difficult to operate with heavy gloves, I did find that my normal riding gloves were OK in locating the +/- buttons. It pairs just as easy as the SMH10, and I like the small slim size of the SMH10R, the battery also lasted about 10 to 12 hrs on my use in cold (-2C) & hot (36c)conditions. I was informed by SENA that an adapter will be released for those that want to use ear buds, this should show online sometime next month (April).
Excellent Thanks :) It will be good to have a spare battery for long trips/touring... + having the charging adapter is a bonus, the batteries can be charged away from the main unit/helmet... (i.e. recharge the spare battery in the top-box or tank-bag while traveling)
Ya' know what we love about ADVRider? We hear about what Sena is coming out with here, long before we ever hear it from Sena... make that *if* we hear. 'Reckon why that is :eek1 ?
OK - TONS of SMH10R's will be landing on our loading dock this week. Don't hesitate to crack that wallet open and order some up! We'll be swimmin' in 'em pretty quick like.
I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a 10r. Anybody seen one on a shoei rf1100? The lip on the back of my helmet makes me hesitant.
Just fitted one of these in my Shoei helmet. No issues at all. Great service from RocketMoto, ordered on the 14th and received in Tokyo on the 18th. Looking forward to trying this out on the bike tomorrow.
Wow! 4 days? It takes longer to get a letter across town. Never did understand the postal system. Thanks for the business!
2 weeks delivery to Tasmania, Australia... which is fairly fast for USPS->-Australia Post Got 2x SMH10R and 2x spare batteries.. All good... Haven't used them between the bikes yet but initial testing looks good no issue pairing the intercoms together, and pairing them with phones... Thanks for the discount code, even without it you were the cheapest I could find (delivered to Australia)
