That is the entrance to Miami Canal Rd from the south side of the lake.

Made it swamp cafe. It's 1215pm. No sign of the north crew or south crew lol. Great ride all gates open. No rain on the way here. But wife txt me big time rain back home. So. I'm gonna chill here for a bit.

Daily here, always looking for an excuse to ride...I'm on a DRZ400 wife is on a xt250... riding out of east Broward ... still learning how to handle sand but getting comfy riding thru water... We would like to join up for some rides locally...

We got on Miami Canal Rd from the north and meet with two locked gates. By the time we figured out the route (with possibly one more locked gate) we ran into that storm. We turned tail and it chased us all the way to Clewiston. We waited out at Roland Martin's Fish Camp.

Just walked in my door in Jupiter. How was the Swamp Café?

The cafe was dead. Lol. I sat on there porch and smoked a cigar. Then I remembered my jeep buddy might be a lazy springs atv park. So I mapped out a back route to felda, fla. and stopped by and checked the place out. Only got mild rain. Got home around 6pm. Too bad your side was closed. You all would have enjoyed those back roads. Sounds like we must try again. The couple that posted from east broward let me know when you want to ride.

Looks like sort of what I'm looking for, but I have a DR650, so I'd want to explore a little more off road terrain, too.

I am suprised you found closed gates.........run that route many times and never had it blocked!!!

I thought about hitting the farm lands in the Redlands but by the time our company left and we got some lunch the storm had rolled in and it pretty much didn't let up the rest of the day. Off and on rain most all afternoon. Made for good naps watching football and the race!!

I am still looking at October 5 or 6 to ride.

Great ride , sorry for leaving you guys I had to go . The boss lady was getting impatient ...(if you only knew ).WEll!!

I checked Google Earth today and from the point we turned back it looks to be gate-free all the way to 1296 then Snake Road.

Dr650 rider in FtMyers, want to see if this is a feasable distance, assuming this isnt an exclusive meetup of course.

are meet ups are more on the atlantic side around palm beach county

I would like to hit as many dirt roads back there as possible. I'm guessing it's the route you guys tried last weekend.

I have off this Sunday, so... I guess I'm ready. My bike is geared for highway use, so I shouldn't have any trouble keeping up until speeds go over 100 MPH.
