This thread is geared for fellas that wanna get together and share trails they know with others that know and appreciate the area. Just no desire to post the combined wealth of trails these guys have cut or found over 30+ years on the internet. But if you are ever in town you'll be welcomed like a neighbor.

    I second that recommendation!

Huh?!? :huh You upload one gpx file, and then you have access to every gpx file on the site, for FREE!

I have found MANY Stoddard, JV, and SBNF tracks at gpsexchange. Even a few by those who frequent this thread.

And after Christmas, I plan to ride the FUN parts of every one of them! :ricky

I wish everyone shared your mentality about sharing tracks and favorite trails on the Internet..

Myself and a few friends will be in JV after Christmas. Whose feelin' neighborly? :ear

So, if I wanted to ask you about the track "Kap" posted to gpsexhange, should I take it to PMs?

Just for the record, I have never shared a track on the internet that wasn't on legal & open trails & roads at that time.

I enjoy searching GE for desert ST and linking them together into all-day tracks. Then go explore for a few days & see what I found!

I'd love to join you... but we spend that whole week in Ocotillo to get a break from the high desert winter chill each Holiday. Hasn't been much chill yet this year but we still have friends that expect us down there. :thumb

You're a ho Charles, and as a gent I'm up for a ride.

Good to hear you're around mid week at times, when I land I'll give you a ring and we can put together some midweek rides. Awesome, I'm jonesing for some riding. I just got the staples pulled out of my arm and chomping on the calcium to get the many pieces knitted back together.

Any other slacking types can arrange midweek rides?

You have to post a track on gpxchange in order to down load tracks. I drew a track on Google Earth that I never even rode just to join the site.

Catfish I use GE for finding tracks to explore in Thailand. However the satellite images of the terrain are a horrible resoution in the jungles to when zooming in you can't tell a damn thing. I just checked out Jawbone Canyon and other than seeing 3 waypoints for the general store:lol3 the imagery is a lot sharper and recent than in my SouthEast Asian jungles. Nice tool for desert exploring.

Been raining at my house steady since 4AM... should keep raining all day through Friday morning. Saturday will be epic conditions ! And I'll be in Red Cross Training in Riverside ALL WEEKEND !

Hoping to get home each day by 2PM and toss a leg over the bike both days for a quickie at least.
