I would certainly never swap my R1150GSA beauty with that yellow cage (post-office car's color here :lol3)! I just take the money and fill in a 2nd garage we a few more bikes

Mud Slide on North Cascades Highway. 15 feet thick slide missed making it through by 1 hour, I would have gone for but the other side was 5 feet deep of semi-liquified mud.

Jealousy will get you nowhere, Nic!

Besides, even after my 2004 got written off by an inbred on a cell phone, I still have 3 GSes in the garage, plus a Krackmasaki. :ksteve

That's it... I now officially lust after this color scheme. It rules. I might just have to acquire one of those tanks and beaks... or paint mine.

Yep, I had that exact feeling. Best combi is blue and white.
The crash Bar used to be complete but a minor offroadcrash resulted in crooked bars and we just never thought about removing the tank-crashbar as well. Here`s a picture of the bike with the lower crashbar installed ( we don`t know the make of the bars, the bike was imported from Germany with the bars installed):

It just isn't the look, but everything else between the two...like the cheaper looking dash/instrument panel and switches on the R1200 GS series.

Which is why I'm not replacing my 2004 R1150 GS Adventure that got written off while touring in Austria. The first thing that came to mind was "what will I replace it with, an R1200 GS Adventure? Not if I have a choice!"

Luckily I have a spare 2003 R1150 GS Adventure for my future trips.

So the insurance money, was used to pay for a small part of my new-to-me Porsche Carrera. I have enough GSes and motorcycles anyways.

Lets hope BMW doesn't screw up the next generation of GS even more.
