Yesterday I shipped off my forks to Konflict Motorsports to have them work some magic.

When they get back, they will have Compression, Rebound AND PRELOAD ADJUSTMENT!!!!

Per Alex, they will be the equivalent to the KTM WP Adventure suspension, way more adjustable than the Marzocchi's

Once I get them installed and try them out, i'll be providing feedback. Could be a few weeks.

PS if you want more information and detail, you'll have to talk to Alex at Konflict.

You can have this all for $300, if your on a shoestring. xChallege cartridges and top cap is all you need, just pick the springs and you can bolt it all up in under and hour....

300? - it mostly depends on how much you end up on paying for the donor fork ....

I would be nice though.

OMG I love my new 2013 F8GS but the front end does dive a lot on braking and feels soft. Mind if I ask ballpark what the wallet set-back for this magic? I'm almost ready to sell a kidney for the improvement. :mully Think that'll cover it?

Thanks,
Steve

There is a signifigant performance upgrade availible that cannot be achieved going this route (Xchallenge). I have tested with this set-up, and even after 30+ hours of tuning decided that the performance gain that can be had is not something that I can offer as a service. If you are looking for a slight increase, and budget is something that is driving your decision this might be a way to go. There is not a pre-load adjustable Xchallenge fork on the market, not sure where you read that.

These will not work on the 2013 WP forks, pre 2013 yes.

Problem is trying to obtain a set of used forks... Unless you have a source us commoners do not have, I think it might be somewhat difficult

Again, like stated, he's talking about '12 and older forks. the '13 forks can't be done that way.

Exactly why I started the thread and why i'm psych'd!

Someone found me in the Flea Market. They are out there, it's worth looking atleast. I paid $190 shipped and $100 for springs. It's worth it if you can get them.

So what are the advantages of this kit over the Ohlins kit?

There are a few:<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
1. Ease of service as not everyone or shop has tools to service the Ohlin's, and Traxxion kits.

2. The conversion kit I offer has a broader range of adjustability over others.

3. Performance wise I felt the Ohlin's and Traxxion kits were definitely a improvement over stock, they still seemed to be lacking in a few departments. Damping control being the major issue in my opinion in stock settings from manufacture.

4. Parts availability can be an issue as a lot of my customer base do anything from multi day trips to a handful that are completing around the world trips. No one likes to be down waiting on parts.

With the kit we offer you are not only getting the conversion done, it is also being custom setup for the particular rider taking into consideration their riding ability, weight, and typical terrain they are going to encounter. It is not a mass produced kit with a just spring swap being done.

Have to check the vendor's threads for pricing guys. If it gets into it too much in this thread, mods will punt it.
