Great that he is home, one of the best healing remedies there is !!! :clap He's gonna need a lot of rest, the radiation treatments really take it out of you and it takes along time to get that energy back. Don't let him push it.

I'm back on the net. Still haven't eaten anything since Thanksgiving and may not be able to eat for months, but I'm home with the one I love.

Thanks to all for your kind words, support and prayers. They truly help.

    See everyone in Dawson.

Got a place at a table with your name on it and we will puree the steak if we have to.

Great good news and thanks for the update. I am sure you will be a good patient for your nurse for a while longer.

    Cheers Bud.

PS. If you feel the need for some exercise, I will fly you up to shovel snow so that we can have it gone by D2D.

Hey Kevin. Good to have you back. You aren't missing the Fairbanks cold are you? Get healed up while winter rules the skies. See you at D2D. Dick

Kevin, I am glad you are home with the wife. That must be a relief.
I have been reading a lot about Alaska and D2D. I signed up.
When you feel up to it, can you expand on the trip north from Cody? I tried to MapQuest the route you outlined for me, but I think you were giving me the names of towns, areas and roads and MQ got confused.
I know that it is more than 4k miles from Chicago to Fairbanks, and I am getting my GS prepped for the ride. I even installed electronic cruise control. Paul

Paul, you'll have better luck if you try to follow the route on paper maps. You'll probably need state and provincial maps to get the needed detail. Lets know how that works.

Paul, on the maps side, as much as I dislike using the great ad-company Google, their maps do rule. If I can make it up there, this is, more or less, the route I want to take. It took me about 30 seconds to put it together.

    https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=...tfXUy-NIUTH9H61cuXqNSg&oq=Coul&mra=ls&t=m&z=4

compared to mapquest, that could not find stewart, bc. Seriously, after writing this post, including doing the map above, mapquest is still spinning on stewart, bc.

I got a Garmin Montana 650 last summer, and with BaseMap I am relatively happy.

Kevin, et 'al, hope to meet y'all this year!

As well, a proper thank you is required for theDick, who helped me on my way in the summer of 2010.

Yeah, I know some of y'all think it is silly to head all the way up to Inuvik, but then again, most of my friends down here think it is silly to ride to AK, so go figure.:deal
