The FCR that I have is off of a CRF450. The XRL cables fit it just fine. I actually ended up using a CRF450 throttle and cables after a bit. I like them better...
Also if you have the clutch perch from the crf you can use the hot start cable for the choke. Just switch the choke and the hot start button around. The plungers are the same bore size.
You will want to use the XRL plunger. I tried to use the FCR hotstart plunger and it doesnt seal right. Bike runs like crap. The CRF250 hotstart cable connected to an XRL plunger works perfect. Connects right up to the XRL perch.
Well, here's my old war horse. Did a cosmetic refresh last winter, nothing major. Engine is still stock after 25,000 miles. Dunlop 606 rear Pirelli MT21 front Renthal Honda tall bend bars with homemade 2.5" risers Moose hand guards Clark 4gal tank Guts seat w/custom foam homemade rear rack Trail Max saddle bags (from tack store) windshield from 990 Adventure (cut down with homemade mounts) Ram GPS mount ProGrip grips RaceTech springs/valving on Fork. Stock shock/spring.
Yup, Use the XRL plunger with the crf choke cable. Best thing is I never need the choke. With the FCR best staring bike I ever had. Touch the button and it fires up immediately. Dave
Was a beautiful day to be riding in New Mexico....... Had to make a stop on the way in for some beverages. I knew there was a reason I always carried electrical tape on my bike......
I've got an XCMH in the garage that the local dirt shop highly recommended for my next rear, and I'm going to run one as well for my next front. Its good to hear some positive feedback on them besides from the shop
The rear is also very good, good road manners as well, but is hard to recc given the price-longevity ratio.
KyoXR was right, I have the Sudco FCR41, not the MX version, so I need to order the adapter and motion pro cable set from Sudco for 100 bucks. But the same exact kit as mine with choke from Sudco is $619 plus shipping, I'll have a little over 200 into mine total, so I aint complaining
Holy smokes.........watching Supercross and Zack Bell really took a big friggin wipe out........looked like he was doing a whip and then things went bad....dis mounting a bike at that height/speed is not good...he just walked away i see.......but man,,what a hit.. B
Yep I'm watching as well, that wreck looked bad, he was out for a bit. My wife said omg.....I hope you don't ride like that .....I wish I had those skills
Not arquing on that one....... being nutz is more fun than being sane,,,i`ll take the fun route everytime now back to beer .. What ya drinkin B
Just and update, I turned the air screw out about another quarter to half turn and that seemed to clear up the bog off of idle. It also was nice enough to do a little trail ridding
I tell my wife I ride nice and mellow....which is kinda true, but we have a local open track close to the house...when I head by there sometimes I get a little "less" mellow Especially on a sunday ride after watching saturday night supercross This is shaping up to be one of the best supercross seasons I've ever seen.....just awesome Thats a fact
