Rode about 130 miles today, hauled the bike up from town to Gypsum, about 10 miles of super slab, 60 miles or so of fun twisties, 30 miles of dirt, the rest two track and even some pretty challenging single track. This is about 14 miles from Dotsero but overlooks the highway and river all the way up. Guessing it to be about 11,000'. Some challenges even on the dirt road; Great scenery and seldom used trails. Didn't see a single bike or quad for most of the day. Single lane bridge crossing the Colorado River. Dusty at the lower altitudes, but great riding... Filled up with gas in Eagle. 3.52 gallons. 26 miles with the low fuel light on. Adv tank should be here next week.
Beautiful country, beautiful shots, beautiful bike. Did you folks have a winter? Is it drier than normal? Your second shot with the aspens... Thanks for sharing.
Short winter! We actually had a ton of snow in February on the front range, but not much on the west side of the hills. I actually got one trip into Moab super bowl Sunday, it was cold but got in a good ride in. Had over 2' of snow at the house. Ski season was poor. My wife actually skied today about 20 miles away from where I was, mainly slush. Thanks for viewing and the comments!
Hey Ramv -- nice post. Great scenery, terrific bike. Checked out a few of your other posts in DayTrippin' as well. Looks good!
