Awfully nippy! Glad we rode while we could.

We avoided the shopping hordes and got in a really nice ride at Cline last Friday. The 20 loop hill was slip-per-y. Two attempts each, but made it up. All that silty sand is good practice for Baja in January. Thinking of that trip keeps my spirits up in this awful cold. Still wish I had a hot tub, though...

The beast rides again?

Not yet. I'm not convinced the transmission was assembled correctly last time it was put together. Looking for a good diagram so I know exactly where every thrust washer is supposed to go.

I was able to ride yesterday though! I'm lucky enough to have some great friends.

MrDualsport test riding

Rode out to Brothers yesterday. With the wide open views and knowing the landmarks, I don't bring a map out there anymore. But this time I did turn on the GPS app on my phone. We didn't use it, just wanted to see our tracks when we got home. It looked like a typical ride.

LittlePosum and I headed out of Bend around noon.

We were about ready to leave and there's a KTM NineFidy coming down the road. I think I said to Staci, here comes some sucker on a KTM, or something like that.

Good times out there! Nice lil day ride 150 something miles of fun. Once off the pavement the ride got super dusty and it stayed that way all day long. Love the traction of those pumie pebbles on the 500.



New suspension setup makes my DRZ feel like I have a brand new bike!



Brothers Stage Stop serves up a tasty refreshing purple drank :slurp and I had a hand full of black licorice gotta keep the energy level high!

That is the main thing I miss about not living there now. Used to be able to ride from the garage right out to the desert. Ski half a day, Ride the other half. Good Times.

Did you use Nershall Rd on this ride? Its south of Brothers.

I'm not sure of the name. The gate next to the ODOT station is where we gain access.

So the 3 of us head back to Bend together.

It was! Temps in the high 50,s and sunny. Couldn't ask for better weather. Very dry out there already.

THEN there was MONKEY!

Twin pines had a fun little trail up the north side steep and sandy. The south side however has no such trail at all but it was some of the best sage brush bush whacking you can find out here.

The road to the top of Pine Ridge was fun too.

We made it out of the woods and back home just before dark. Now it's time for new tires.

NatDesertCat and I and some new friends were just to the south of you. Beautiful day. We were sitting in the trees at about 4 o'clock and it was real hard to pack up and go home. Time to do dial in some routes Mr DS and LP.

Where'd you go? Went to Parks garage/wanna be a bum sale on Sunday. He said you were by looking at his useless junk.
