They are not in the tail light. The TL functions as normal. Man, this is THE BEST solution, bar none. Tough SOB, the only way to go IMO.

Wondering if the mount will work for a 2010 EXC 530? I'm is search for one on my bike. The description says it's designed for 04-07?

Just ask him. I have a 2010 530 EXC and he made a PERFECT unit for me.

To quote myself, the KTM talk link is the same guy as the ebay link. The KTMtalk one I provided is for the 08-11 bikes (yes, your 2010). I would recommend sending him a message and tell him what you want or need, and he'll do it. He does ones for the RFS up to the current models.

    I'd go w/ the XC-W tail light:

The one above has too many spaces for mud and crud to accumulate. The XC-W one costs the same and has a better light output.

I agree. I have this one as well. I think we were trying to save the guy $10 :lol3:lol3 It's also funny because some just don't want to do the work, and I bite almost every time. The info on the Euro plate holder vs universal ill-fitting shite has been discussed 100 times in this thread alone.

I ain't got no stinkin' plate! I have only ridden my bike once since a race at the end of January, and now the ice is melting fast. I have been busy prepping for work stuff, but now I'm done, so I may as well get all my lights and summer wheels back on. It's 16ºC today (60º for you yanks).

    Hi,
since I bought my 530 exc in 2008 I've had hard time estarting it or kickstarting it. I was told that it was normal but I've read many threads describing the same problem I have and pointing to defective camshaft.

I found that 2008 camshaft #<STRIKE>78036010233</STRIKE> has been replaced in 2009 with #78636010033 and then in 2011 with #81736010133.
Is it a good idea to replace camshaft ?
    Does it work?
If so, do I put the newer version (2011 camshaft) or do I have to stick with 2009 camshaft ?

    Any advice welcome

    thanks

A buddy of mine just replaced his cam for the exact same reasons. He said it made all the difference. Starts up super easy now.

Exactly....the auto decompression mechanism works on the '09 cam
not on the '08...not to say it can't be started but you'll have a hard time
    at best....

It still works, but is less effective on some bikes (usually the internet ones). My friend's bike has 230 hours on it's backwards cam (I checked), and it has no trouble starting. . . . well, not entirely true, his 5 year old battery finally packed it in. If it ain't broke. . . . .

edit Michhub, I'm not being argumentative, I'm just stating that while it is a well documented issue, it has a lesser affect on some. If you have trouble , change it, if not, I don't see the point.

Yeah, we've owned a lot of those bikes and some of the 08's were real finicky and some of them started and ran as well as any of our newer bikes. No idea why.

I must have an Internet bike then cause it has always been very hard to start :)
Thanks all for the input. I will go with the upgrade.

I have to figure out witch camshaft 2009 or 2011 I should put on my 2008 530exc .

Mine was an easy to start but I replaced it anyways. From all the reading I've done, always go with the latest year parts as KTM seems to have been improving little things every year.
