Perhaps he is just more focused on the title than winning every race. It is understandable from his point of view. It sucks for us though. It has been said before that there should be more of a point separation between first, second, and third. It would get my vote.

You said it for me; he's racing for the title. Smart from his point, but a bit disappointing for us to watch.

It's amazing that Allesi can ride at that speed for 3-4 laps and then totally breaks down after that. The guy has the talent but I guess not the heart? Mental attitude?

That is how Weinert won his titles. All that really matters is who has the Number 1 at the end.

He's a head case, and he will never win anything of consequence, ever.

It makes no sense to go racing at all when every person on the team including his Dad repeatedly states to the media and anyone else that they are just not on RV and the top guys' level.
    That's stupid.
Way to set your sights on 12th even before you pack the rig, idiots.

If you aren't going out there to race for the win, stay the fuck home and let someone else go.

I have a signed poster of that on my wall, Weinert raced with us at ACR for a few years while his son was starting out. Very nice guy to have around!
I even lined up next to him on the start line a few times, talk about cool.

While that may now be true, it was not too long folks on this board were all excited over his fast start in the outdoors...then he tore up his knee and was done. At the time, he was the odds on favorite to win the title.

Also, I know you have seen enough racers apologize to realize that was an apology...as close as most ever get to a.... honey I am sorry....and a kumbaya on TV. You can play that way if you want, but I am calling bullshit.

Mine is signed by both of them, did you get them both?

Weinert is definitely a cool guy to be around, lining up with him must have been awesome! He's aware of and appreciates his legacy and status as a VMX legend, but I think push comes to shove he's more interested in riding modern bikes than vintage. We bumped into him 2-3 years ago in the Burger King at the end of Rt 8 where 8 meets Rt 17 in Depost after the national. He had his rig there and had a few guys who rode for his team that day, I think Decotis might have been one. Anyway, too be able to bullshit with him in a Burger King hours after a Unadilla national all these years after the 70's was pretty sweet. Just another guy humping back down the road after a race stopping for a burger. Jammer is good people.

I'm 99.99% sure that shot is not from Unadilla. It is a very cool shot though I think Tony D is on a CZ still. Epic shot.

I wish...it's freezing here too and trust me wherever the hornies are they aren't with me.

I did have dinner last night and tonight in Carrabba's though. First time, I've had worse in better places, and I'm picky on Italian food. Not bad at all for a chain restaurant.
