True. All this needed a separate topic (a split?).
    :deal

(actually I was thinking of posting this yesterday, but then thought it could attract some hate, esp. since I don't own a WGSA, which seems to be a prerequisite for some to even have an opinion)

Come here. We have summer temperatures predicted here for the weekend (keep in mind our summers aren't that warm). 20°C. :D

If enough riders mention it at service time we might get an update. I am certain this is a fault in the way the computer uses sensor input?

Guys I apologize if this has been covered but I cannot bring myself to read all 160 pages of this thread.

How does the bike compare to the Watercooled GS? I'm well aware of the equipment differences and fuel range. I'm looking for how it feels compared to the GS. It is noticeably more top heavy? I don't think there will be a demo to ride for another month.

My '13 GSW is very agile and feels much lighter than it is.

i think you feel the added weight at stop, backing and getting it on the stand but once underway you don't notice. the new GSA is incredibly balanced IMO. Have a standard 08 GS, demo'ed a GSW and glad i waited on the GSAW

Not top heavy! Fuel is low down. Flywheel is heavier which makes it incredible for maneuvering at low speed. Hard to back paddle unless you have long legs.

Cant wait for good riding weather here as its still cold and winter like conditions. Forgive me if its already been mentioned in this thread but, does anyone know what BMW uses for the fuel gauge on these new GS's? I won't miss the dreaded fuel strip on my old bike at all.

I took off the plastic side panels and front fender to start the farkle fest and while removing the right side plastics this rubber thingy fell to the floor. Anybody who has removed the 2014 GSAW side panels remember where this goes? It has an adhesive backing on the flat side.

I'm guessing it's some kind of damper that wasn't stuck down properly between the panel and the frame?
