Not on the bike Ojay. my elbow has bothered me, on and off, for about a decade now, and it has been getting worse the last few months. doc says its golfers elbow ( like tennis but other side of arm I think) told me not to use it for a couple of weeks, so im trying to be good about that, since the clutch is pretty painful usually.
Well that sucks. But then again, if ya gotta miss riding this is the time of year to do it. Watching Supercross practice at Anaheim 3. These guys are throwing down some fast laps.
exactly my thinking Jay, ive already let the bike 'rest' for several days now, so im nearly there. I havent turned on a tv all day, did listen to hawg hoops on the FM radio, just finished washing a pot, so when my groceries arrive I can begin to cook some chicken and dumpling goodness. Son had a buddy spend the night last night, they strummed guitars until the wee hours, guest played my alvarez ( that you worked on) son played his little epiphone electric. I heard 'smoke on the water' about 700 times I think.
I lived in a duplex many, many years ago with neighbors who could only play "Cat Scratch Fever" by Nugent. I think this was the peak of my drug/alcohol usage.
Well maybe i will just cut my legs off so i fit the bike better. Did u get ur box? I added a new bike to the garage tonight. TTR-225 Thanks mdawg12. Got home and the kids were climbing all over it. Daughter was on it right when she got out of the car. Wife likes sitting on it a lot better then the XR. Thanks again stuck
Ummm... because the originator didn't conceive it to be such? Simple solution: Don't participate and thus you won't pee n' moan about what it's not to those that are having the time of their lives riding it! <!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Just sayin' like it is, Slick. Don't like it, don't read it. Simple. Besides, I'm not the one that came in here and dis a ride put on by a fellow ADV'er. Scotty puts his heart n' soul into that ride. Didn't appreciate someone stepping in and talking it down.
Ya gotta excuse Vlad just a bit Vin. He's young, impulsive, and just a bit driven by hormones more so that wisdom. He's not a bad young man, just kickstarts his jaw before his brain wakes up good.
Nice pics, Charlie. Agree 100%: It was a FANTASTIC day to be out riding. OLEARY and I had a SUPERB outing. Looking forward to reading Tim's account of it.
Charlie, how do you like the Cortech Scarab gloves? ( that is what you are wearing in your helmet cams pics from today right?)
Y'all do know that I'm a Cortech/Tourmaster dealer right? Also Fieldsheer, HJC, and Shoei. Spam over, just wanting to save ya some bucks.
I did not realize that! I was just wondering if the scarabs are bulky? I bought the cheap knock offs from cycle gear, on sale for $39 http://www.cyclegear.com/eng/product/demon_waterproof_motorcycle_gloves/web1008621 they are warm, and they are waterproof, but they are so damn bulky its hard to pull levers, hit switches and such. are the scarabs less bulky you think? I was hoping if charlie had some I could try them and see... Id return the cycle gear mitts and get the real deal if they dont make me feel like I have giant club hands like the cheap gloves do!
They are great. The gauntlet covers your jacket sleeves and keeps the wind out. They are also very warm and not as bulky as they look but they do have a break in period until the limber up a bit. I can still hit the buttons on my GPS without too much trouble. Matt anytime you want to try them come get them. I got them from my son for Christmas. O'jay my kid didn't know, sorry. I haven't bought any new gear since last June when I got my Klim Dakar pants. They rock too!
Mouth: Get youself down to the Harley dealership and buy you some HD gloves. You can get them in black. As any HD rider knows "...black doesn't show dirt... or weakness* ". You'll love' em. * Quote lifted from one of HD's promo vids.
that made me snort beer in my nose... doesnt show weakness... bwwhahahaha did You and Oleary not take any pics today? Ive done some Jeep trails in Clayton ( in a JEEP) but never ridden down there.
I will take you up on that some time charlie! easily worth more $$ for a better functioning piece of gear to me.
I got a great deal on that Scorpion coat. I heard that they run REALLY small, and all they had in closeout were XXXL in the HiVis Yellow. Reviews said it was more like an XL, and they were right. It has a pocket to put your hydration pack on your back, and the tube comes out on your shoulder. No extra pack to wear. Really warm with the rain liner and quilted liner in it. And I get to be a Doc-Twinkie! :huh I put my ride report up.
I knew you would find the humor in it for sure, Matt! I only took four photos... one was of my bike n' Little Blue (my venerable S-10). Not much interest there. However, I did post up a quickie in the AR Ride Report thread. As for Clayton: Well... 'ya got me beat. I've been through Clayton on the hiway, but never been offroad out of there. That area is on my "one of these days" list. You know, that list that also includes trout fishing. V-man
