H'mmmm maybe I'll ride champ That would get Sammy! Sections are all set but for one. All very close to the pavilion except for 3 lowers on Sunday, which are about 250 yards from there. Parking in the "BEAR" parking lot. Sorry you can't make it lineaway.

Trust me... I'd be all over that ride and taking pics! View from the ridge near La Cal Basin and Frasier Mtn. is breathtaking!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you for a great weekend at Taos! I have never had more fun on 2 wheels (t least I was on 2 wheels most of the time ), and NEVER met a nicer, more gracious, and helpful bunch of folks. Everybody was so good to the noob, it was almost overwhelming! I promise not to skulk out early next time, and will be around to help score. I also want to volunteer for at least the 3rd, and am working on the 4th, for scoring at the national.

Beef706 thanks for riding at Taos. You definitely made things exciting!:eek1 Let bosslady know about scoring, remember you used up your 1 today. Sorry you are not the worlds oldest rookie! Welcome, it will consume you!

The Dark Side!

I couldn't make it, so how was it? All that I have heard was that it rained on the uppers but that is no big surprise.

Only rode Sunday, but very short loop and different sections than we are used to. Three sections near the shops (one on stairs and two on rock along the sidewalk), two in a construction area (one through a murky pit fill of water) and four right next to each other on a hillside full of aspen. Quick and sweet! Probably would have been a pretty easy trials were it not for the rain, but with everything soaking wet, it was about perfect! Fun day!! ...(but no pics)

I think the rock got the worst of it, I left quietly so I didn't have to fill out an environmental impact statement

sorry, I was punching on Saturday and the section photo op was too close to the end for me to snap any pics, and on Sunday well my camera isn't waterproof...

That's awesome news! I was wondering if they had lifted the closures when the SFNF lifted theirs. I'm out of town next week on a dual sport trip but back to San Yo after the national!

You guys get'n any of this rain out there? Gosh I wish I had a job out there, loved the area.
