No one does yet, but the differences are usually not that big.

34hp is the limit for new riders in the EU's graduated licensing system, so it's not inconceivable a US version could be re-tuned. If the US price were translated across the board in dollars as frequently happens a price of $7000 dollars minimum would put this up against the Honda 700X, albeit without luggage at that price.

It's the Majesty 400 engine in it. I think they can just keep it "as is" for the US market. If we get the X-max 400 which I hope so because the Majesty could use a little facelift.

Looks very nice! Will it replace the Majesty here in the US?...

Xmax, I don't know about that [IMG] I like the Xciting more than the Xmax. just me, I think the max has a pug nose. Like the seat stitching tho. Plus, the Xciting has more cc.

More cc doesn't mean much without looking at power and torque ratings,
but yeah, the XC500 has the Xmax beat at that too.

But here in EU, the Xmax is already selling better then anything else in
it's class, people either go for Beverly 350 or Xmax 400.

There's even a completely redesigned Xciting 400 available in that looks
a lot like T-max, it's got a "full" 400cc engine (xmax is 385 or something?),
    and 36hp (xmax has 31,5).

You forget I HAD a tmax and pretty much started the tmax thread on here before the US got them, so been there done it, the burgers are to arse heavy and I don't tour countrys or have epic voyages, the tmax was great and I miss it but I ride locally with the odd jaunt a bit further so like the oomph as close to the tmax experience as possible and super nimble handling would be good too, what I don't like is the engine/swinger combo I like my engine separate but I cant have it all ways, the 2 I mentioned are really good quality scoots and stand out, the tmax new in the UK now is almost 2.5k more than when I bought new in 2008, silly money, my local dealer has even knocked 2k off a new integra 700 as its been in the showroom 6 months and nobodys interested, its a tough market here and the second hand market aint exactly flooded with them and you lose a shit load of money soon as ya leave the showroom, I had 3.5k in mods on my tmax with 8000 miles on it, all I got was the price the standard ones were going for when I sold it on, I have lost lots of money on most bikes av bought ever since so I am carefull what I buy nowdays, even bored of my msx125 now!:cry

I don't see either the SYM Maxsym 400 or the Kymco Xciting 400i on the USA websites.

Are they due in the US for 2014?

Sometimes i hate these Japanese companies. The choices here in Japan are limited and crappy. There are good ones but the majority are ugly. Why the X-Max is not commercially sold by Yamaha Japan here is beyond me. Some dealers resort to importing them directly thus pushing the MSRP up by 50% at least. Taiwanese brands, although good, have very poor after sales support and the resale value is dirt cheap. I would have bought an X-Max 250 but with a price close to a Burgman/Skywave 400 with ABS, it's not a wise choice.

A good review with English Subs (turn on CC)

I had a chance to sit on a X-Max 400 earlier this week in France and not only is the seat pretty tall but it also is VERY wide. I'm 6ft tall with a 32" inseam and it felt as high as the GS I rode the week earlier.
