I saw a polished out Buell engine sell for closed to $5000 with 30,000 miles.Of course it was sitting in a shitty $1000 chopper frame and fork kits.

2009 CRF 230 F, needs work for $700 obo. This might be a good snag for someone willing to do a little work.

I picked this up on Wednesday. It's amazingly clean. Smoked a lot and had a little chatter but did run. Tires are toast. I think the guy was dogging it on the road. The jug and head are at the machine shop and piston set on order. Got it for $550.

Yep. I keep the CL app zeroed in on 230's looking for an L. I see quite a few L's popping up at near new prices, but rarely a deal.

What's the dif between L and F models?

The F is the offroad only model, very common. For 2008, Honda had the L and M models too. The L was a low seat dual sport, lights and all. It had about a 31" seat height unloaded with a 21" front wheel. The M was a black supermoto version of the L with a 19" spoked front. The L and M are both relatively hard to find. They make the perfect shortypants dual sport.

The shop on Wade Hampton beside Cycle Gear had one for $3000.I almost bought it.I don't remember the year but it was a newer model.It was white and red or orange,IIRC.

If I could find a thrashed XT225 I would swap frames with the TTR225 and have it street legal. Frames are identical but XT has a title.

I've seen several XT225's on CL recently.

It has to be dirt cheap for me to get it. I need a parts donor bike basicly. Want the lights and controls and frame with title. Anything else is a bonus.
