When folks ask why it costs so much to live in California, well a picture is worth a thousand words... dedicated to my riding friends who are frozen in their tracks for the time being until you can get back out there... :)

Sunday, January 27, 2013 - dead of "winter" - Calaveras Rd.

Was a beautiful day out... about 55 degrees, road to myself, and the air smelled so fresh and clean...

Yup,been in nor cal 55 years so far, still riding singletrack in January, mountains are right next to town, ocean is 3 hours of perfect twisty roads away. Friends who have moved here from the frozen wasteland areas talk about how beautiful their homelands are...............but they seem to never go back to visit once planted here.

CA may be confused fiscally but its a really nice place to live,at least up north. I dont do So Cal much.

The Spyder is a nice option to have when 2-wheels is no longer a viable possibility anymore. Very different riding style but once you get used to it, it's a helluva lot of fun! :norton

Yup... I've lived in the Bay Area my entire life... I wouldn't mind getting out further from the craziness of the Sillycon Valley but I think it'd still be in CA... so many choices! :evil

Good for you. We start off on small bikes when we are young. As adults we are free to choose our weapons. And when we get a little older we adapt. It all makes for a full life of riding.

    CA has the best roads.

I was born and raised in La Jolla. It was a nice place when I was a kid and the population of the Greater SD area was 120,000. Now there are just too many rats in the cage for me. Northern Cal I love. Southern Cal is a zoo. Some have nicer cages than others but it's still a zoo.

Damn you, Tyler, for posting those pics! I've been stuck in the midwest since September, with my bike sitting in a storage locker in San Mateo! God I miss those roads! Now I can't even lie to myself and say that I'm sure it's been raining so hard that all the good roads are closed by mudslides...

Damn you, damn you, damn you!
