GMTMoto 1150GS Light Bars- Where Oh Where?

Does anyone know for sure where a pair of the turn signal light bars can be sourced new or used? A few years ago I got a pair from www.CycleGadgets.com, talked with Sean at CG today and he told me that GMT has shut down all production. (shame too, such high quality product) I've checked with all of the obvious places; E-Bay, Adventure Workshop...<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

YBV - How's it going, long time no ride... I have a pair mounted already that I bought from CycleGadgets years ago now. I'm looking for a second pair for someone else who is consider having a set made as well. I have two endurance rallies I'm riding between now and the middle of October. After that I would consider taking mine off to act as the prime set.

In the meantime trying to find a set I can buy...

if it don't pan out- get in touch i've got an idle machinist and shop at my disposal- we can whip up a few sets. In the mean time if you can send some high res photos and a few measures, I'll see what he can do- i have a pair of spare stalks to start with...ps- also considering similar set to clear the bags on the back

HI just bought a 1150 and saw your post I will buy a set if you guys decide to make them . I just did a round trip on the bike second day I had it and I am really happy I bought it. I saw the need for those and some other things I will do.

Doc has the only set that 'could' be the prototype...and he's using them till the end of the season (and that could be after Santa comes and goes).

iffen he's kind enough to loan them out to my shop for a bit, it'd take a month to tool up and produce a few sets, so at the very best you're looking at February at the earliest.

Needless to say, these are a fellow inmates design- we really should do the props and get his permission to re-produce before doing anything.

Mebbe one of you fellers could run down who designed/produced these, explain what we're up to and get his blessing? Heck he might even still have the drawings or the milling/machining instr..but nothing happens before then.....K?

As for using mine to prototype, if you are serious I could get them to you by the middle of next month. How many sets would you need to do, to make it cost and time effective? What do you think you would need to charge, ball park?

Have a machinist just need a sample for him to draw.

In for a set if they become available.

I'll need to get the material costs, shop costs etc, etc....I'll get a ball park as soon as i can and post it here...then there's shipping, my cayman bank account to worry about.... Seriously- not a clue yet......
OH- and these will be raw/primered- don't have access to a paint booth- You's FF's will havta sort that out on your onsies..........

FWIW- I am toying with an idea for a similar add-on to my Terra-Nova bar, might be simpler, cheaper and in keeping with the GS theme. When i'm done fiddlin with my brakes, I'm gonna bodger up a pair to see how they look/go....
