Oh, those pics make me want to get back down there! I'm totally ditching that huge touring windscreen next year though. I love the one of Rabbot--looks like he's got a little Captain in him. :rofl:rofl:rofl

I've never been in on any of these group rides. But I'm planning on quitting my jobs next spring and going on an extended tour! I looked on the website link but didn't find anything; what are the guidelines for late comers? I don't know what my route will be exactly yet or which state I will be in in a given week...and I fucking love that. So I don't think I can sign up officially just yet.

So I guess my question is, is it cool to just show up? I realize lodgings may fill up, etc. But I can work around that. Otherwise can I register and what not in person?

Thanks, and I hope I'll be there.

I'm not official, but since it's nice to be able to plan for food, etc., it's a good idea to get registered as soon as you'd know your schedule, at least a few weeks in advance.

John keeps our costs very reasonable for dinners and breakfasts, but since there is quite a bit of planning and preparation that goes into it, he usually gives a lower registration cost for earlier registrations, and then bumps it up a bit for the late-comers.

Hope you make it, I think everyone generally has a pretty great weekend!

You can always pay at the door, but we prefer if you register due to as TellyDoug said there is a lot of planning we go through and its nice to be able to know especially for the steak diner.

Also with paying you receive a Rally Pack with goodies in it. We are working details on other goodies that might be included also besides food. You also with paying can have a chance to win a prizes.

If your camping it, you can always find a spot to pitch a tent. Also say you just show up as your route happens to take you through there that is fine but then your on your own for stuff. Food in town is priced affordable so eating out is not a huge deal either.

More will come, we all have been busy due to the Holiday season...with plenty of time don't sweet it.

I'm just the door prize guy for RMAR so final say comes from Mac or Big_John on these issues.

#1. Registrations at the door are always welcomed. Of course, door registrations are about 30-40% higher, but are absolutely welcome.

#2. Mark....you are more than the 'Door Prize Guy'...... You are on the Board of Directors for RMAR and carry an opinion, direction, guidance and vote for RMAR.

    Gang,

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I can tell each of you that our years of RMAR are very near and dear to my heart. I think about them on a weekly basis. I remember riding the rain in South Fork. I remember the line of VStroms following me and BrownEyedSuzanne out of Saguache for the second, "Easy Bike Ride". (yeah, the one where 14 bikes were laid over and fellow riders ran to help.) I also remember Silverton, where we had many fond memories.....several ladies riding the Big Bike Easy Ride over 12k peaks....awesome riders.....and some phenomenal Ribeye Steaks....etc....

You all have given me many fond memories that I will cherish forever.

Awesomeness...... 2013 will be the best ever!!!!!!

    Merry Christmas, everyone!!!!

I hope that everyone is blessed this Christmas season.

Get ready for '13.....RMAR is going to be bigger and better on all accounts. We are expanding 7-8 Rides this coming year. Starting off the first of April is the Koko/Moab ride and we will end the year with the beastly CAM1000......and in the middle is the showcase event.....yep the Rendezvous in Silverton!!!!!
