he asked me to make something to hold the giant loop strap and sent me a pic of the location and we took it from there , but he sends me cigars so i have to be careful here
I just checked out the website. It looks like you have some neat products, but I have a DRZ400, and my rack needs are met. One thing I did want to comment on, though: I hate hate hate websites that play music without me telling it to play music. It's even worse when the unsolicited music can't be turned off. I prefer to have my own music, an audiobook, or a video playing, or sometimes I just want silence. A website that starts playing music interferes with that. Plus, in my opinion, it seems unprofessional. Anyway, keep up the good work.
Thanks we are going to be making a DRZ rack soon, and as soon as i figure it out ill put a stop button on the music, thanks for the input,,,,,,,,,,,,got any good pix of your rack it will help me to design a better one
I don't have a good picture of the rack on my bike. I usually have my JC Whitney top box adapter on it. I bought an OEM rack from Suzuki UK. http://www.robinsonsfoundry.co.uk/buy/Suzuki-Carrier-Rear-Rack/r990d0-29f00-060.htm It attaches to the seat bolts and the subframe where the original tool bag mounted. That design only works for the S and SM model subframes, not the E model. It's a good looking rack and works for me, but doesn't have a very big mounting platform and is lacking in purpose built tie down points.
Prototypes installed! Mike they work great. Here are the pictures! Installed w/o the bag. Bag installed distance shot. Close up with the bag installed. It looks good. I like the idea of all the mounting choices that you provided. I would say it is
Thanks did you choose to mount them upside down so it would be farther down, to get away from the plastics any pic on the other side , i think i need to change the angle a bit to fit the strap better , are you going through the slot or around it, mike
I mounted them upside down to get a straighter pull downwards. It would have worked the other way, I wanted a bit longer fetch because the straps are so long and I have not have the nerve to cut them yet. I went through the slot and around. It makes for a very nice cince poiint. I will take pictures of mounted the other direction. A very versital tool you mad. It swould be very easy to mount using bungies or anyother sort of tie off. I mounted the other side but I had a car in the garage I had to work around. I'll get some more pictures tonight.
Mike, If the slot was open just enough so the loop would slide in (with the correct angle) it might make it easier. Mike
Hi Mike thanks for stoping by , i think the above correction should just about do it pm yo addy and i will send ya a set
Thanks Mike. I am still using the dirt bags and they are working fine for me. I am looking at going the Wolfman route in the future. Just trying to help with an idea. It was free and worth the same amount. Mike
