It's very easy, you will need all the front system(without telelever),the front low fender and the brake calipers. It doesn't need some patent.

You may want to double-check this, but I think the calipers will bolt straight on. The main difference between my 1100 and 1150 calipers is that the 1100's have "Brembo" on them and the 1150's have "BMW"

Nope, different mounting points on the calipers and forks. I have a 04 R1150GSA and a couple R1100GS and no way you can put the 1100 calipers on the GSA and vis versa. If interested I can take picture and measurements of both, let me know.

    +1

i almost bought a pair of 1150 fork frm fellow inmate, but he revert back to me saying the fiche describes a different thing.

And I take a closer look at the caliper mount positions on both forks, the 1150 caliper mounting on the fork one of the 2 goes way forward.

Maybe the 1150 forks changed. The forks I have from a 2000 1150 are definitely different styling from the 1100 forks but the calipers are definitely the same (I was wrong about the "Brembo v's "BMW" - both sets of calipers are marked "Brembo".)

Alright, measurements and pictures, at least shows the difference between the 1100GS calipers and the 2004 1150GSA one. The early R1150GS have apparently the same caliper tham the 1100 but I do not know what year the design has changed.

99 R1100GS, calipers brand Brembo, mounting points 110 mm apart.
04 R1150GSA, calipers brand Tokico (stamped on the back), BMW on the front, mounting points 65 mm apart.

Good photos. The fork lowers on the 2000 1150GS are indeed different:

Sure!, do you want also the front wheel, good TKC, with rotors and ABS sensor and the shock. So make me an offer I cannot refuse and I will put the all GSA front end in the mail tomorrow:clap

    Hi Hzolio,nice looking white...:clap

I actually, sold my '95 GS and got a '98 one soon after. But it was in a bad state...as off today,I've replaced the bent A-frame and the fork to an RT ones...shaft bearings...the big one....fuel filter, incoating the rusted tank walls with epoxy+hardener.

Just rode this one across the US. Left Maine last Saturday - took two days to get to FL where I relaxed at my oldest brother's house for three days, then spent another three days on the road and arrived Saturday in AZ at my other brother's house. Eight days, 3,400 miles . . . so far I'm pretty happy with the GS.

    Arriving in AZ
