Unfortunately we can't split up the price for food/no food or beer/no beer - we have the whole resort booked and the weekend is "all inclusive". If you have dietary needs just let us know and we will try to make it happen.

Regarding the rides: there are no official rides at the RDV, however there are a bunch of locals that will let you tag along if you like - see page 1. I am quiet sure there will be a two-up ride going on as well (as soon as somebody steps up and wants to lead a group).

    Hopes this helps!

I'm bringing my stuff. What day are you getting there? I'd be willing to show everyone around. If you like wet wading, 2-wt's, and think 4x tippet is just to damn big then just about any stream has rainbow trout. Some brookies are up high.

Bringing waders and a 5-wt? The Watauga tailwaters are, literally, 10 minutes down the road. The Holston and it's stupidly big browns and up in Kingsport maybe 30 minutes away.

Real men wear kilts? Well my mother was a Fraser...

I just ordered a 3 wt pack rod and plan to bring it. Haven't fished for trout in near 20 years. Mostly smallmouth and salt water. Should be interesting.

I wish I had something smaller then a 8wt. Most of my fly fishing is done on the coast for AJs and Albies.

I have two 4 wt rods but one is a 9' 2-pc and the other an 8.5' 2-pc. Everything else is 7wt of bigger. While a Snook on on a 4wt might be interesting for a few seconds, an 8wt is a better choice. The fours were mostly used fr small mouth and pan fish.

Nice! One of the inmates on here suggested Rajeff and I bought one of his rods. I already had a couple of Lamson 4 wt reels and I put a 3 wt WF line on one of them.
