You can charge these batteries with a dumb charger ie one that doesn't desuphate, pulse, recond etc. Just charges.

Does anyone know the decibel ratings of the pipes discussed in here? Calgary is going to start ticketing for excessively loud autos and bikes. I'd like a pipe that will allow a balanced pannier system but don't want anything louder (much) than stock.
    Thanks

    Thanks Erling,
When will you go into production for your latest evil project??
Loud or not I'll take one.
I'm almost tempted to start playing with CF myself...or perhaps you could make me a replacement body for this

One off Leo V special, was originally on my r1200GS but I shortened it, repacked it then added a longer length of straight pipe so it will clear any pannier frames when I get round to fitting them. Its no wider than the fuel tank itself so I can run symmetrical frames.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out, I just bought a 2010 bmw F800gs a couple of days ago. Before this I had 2 KTM Adventure's. Both of them were fitted with titanium Akra's.

Now I was wondering which exhaust to buy to make the GS sound more ...loud... :)
I use this bike everyday to commute to work, traffic is hell and people notice you much quicker when they hear a "rumble" coming...

This and I like loud pipes :)

I am also looking for an exhaust that cools off quickle since the exhaust is quite exposed and I don't want to burn myself every couple of days..

I was thinking of an carbon Leo LVone evoII, MIVV suono, MIVV suono carbon,...

    Thanks!

I have the Remus titanium w/o the baffle. Might be what you're looking for.

Leovince, Akra, Remus are all good choices that are "E" marked. If you want cool running then it would also help a lot if you removed the cat converted from the header, or got a cat less header.

The Mivv looks nice but does not seem to last very long.

I have heard the akra, remus, both LV's, and white brothers...... White brothers are by far the loudest.

I assume you mean Two Brothers, I don't think that White Brothers makes anything for the BMW (if they are even still in business?).

Thanks a lot for the quick responses.. will post a pic when I get it..:)

Will check the internet to find a good price for one of the exhausts mentioned by you!

Initially I wanted to buy the LEovince one evo2's but then I read that they were even quiter than the stock ones.

Coming from a KTM Adventure with Akra's, I find the stock exhaust on the GS very quiet :)

Ha ha.... Good catch Lukas.... Yes you are most definitely right...... Two Brothers.... White Bros.. are still in business in Grand Junction Colorado.... most in the mountain bike scene.
    Thanks again.

A while back I added a Leo Vince EVO pipe to the F800GS. Just recently added a K&N Air filter. No issues at present. I took off the battery for the night to allow a reset of the computer hoping it would remap easier. It did I guess. I had heard on ADV before that the EVO pipe and K&N didn't sit well on the BMW computer.

    All is well so far.:clap
