Got a photo shoot Saturday morning but I might come down for the Sunday ride. Depends on what wifey has to say. Also, are you volunteering for pool duty? I cook the best damn steaks on the planet!
I've got my own mile long list of home projects. The only way I get to go to the campout is that both daughters will be at Super Bulldog Weekend in Starkvegas. Got wood floors, painting, trim work, wiring, yard work and more to do...
But none of that gets you free steak and alcohol. I got to replace the carpet (can't decide to if I'm gonna do hard woods or carpet) in all 3 bedrooms, paint 1 of them, clean out the garage, get my yard together, and buy a new bike to boot!
My wife washed the dogs this morning. I just let them out in the backyard. They went swimming in that pool. Wife is not happy...
Tell her if she had kept the pool clean, it wouldn't be such a big deal and it's all her fault... (enjoy seeing out of both eyes for a few minutes before saying this.)
Any of my locals know anything about home air conditioning? Mine just stopped cooling this evening. Really don't want to call out an afterhours repairman.
Fan outside running, does not seem to be cooling at all as the copper tubing running from outside unit to inside is all air temp. Compressor may not be running. But I'm not sure how this unit normally sounds.
My guess... and it's purely a guess, low on refrigerant. I was betting on a fan capacitor or starting capacitor of the compressor.
Had the same issue 2 years ago. Ended up needing refrigerant and a capacitor installed to make the fan and compressor kick on when needed. It was like $180 to get fixed during normal business hours.
Mine quit Monday night, Trophy. Had a guy here in less than 2 hours and had it diagnosed as a bad contactor that would not turn the outside compressor on. Had it going again in 30 minutes.... I can give you a name and number if you need it.
Ants love to get into those switches for some reason. Every time the compressor kicks on, a few ants get fried. Eventually, enough build up that the switch quits making contact. I only offer this up as anecdotal evidence. I've been around when this problem has been fixed a few times, but never have paid enough attention to be able to fix it myself, much less tell someone else how to fix it.
Didn't see any ant carcasses left for CSI to investigate, but could smell the burning electronic smell where the magic smoke was let out.... $160 later we were all cool again.
