Me and few friends are planing to attend NYC show, I think Saturday, early arrival is key as tmlee mentioned by noon it's gonna be packed ( is SRO Standing Room Only?) place gets mobbed by all the leather vest clubs that arrive by public transport dressed in their full pirate gear.

Friday is probably the best, Saturday is long day and gets crazy, Sunday is short day and most of exhibitors are tired and start packing early.

    DC

Got few friends in DC who are all planning to come up to NYC show, apparently DC show sucks pretty bad (sucked for years now) most vendors don't want to spend the money on a small and not very well attended venue, so in short it's not worth going.

Yes Friday tickets bought on line

Check the schedule for Shoreline East $7and you can park at Old Saybrook for free then

Shoreline has crazy schedules so know where your at,

New Haven parking is almost impossible

If there are 4 of you then driving makes more sense, find a lot up the hill from the Jake
and leave it for the day and take cabs

Cost are aproximate and my TW doesnt go in 8 inches of snow

Looks like a "Pirate Convention" from the pictures. Gee, where can I see a Harley painted like a dinosaur.

There has been bike shows in Hartford and at the Eastern States Exposition and the only thing that was interesting (to me anyway) was a trials riding demonstration. The main focus was customized bikes, mostly Harleys. Save your money guys.

yea it's not the best show but it's close, they have a weak custom bike competition show where you will see the same cruiser bikes every year, they did have a trials rider as well which was fun to watch, a few bike brands were there with all different styles of their bikes (this year: suzuki, triumph, honda, bmw, yamaha, victory, harley, boss hoss & aprilia), moms was there with their used bikes, there was gear, parts, some porn star looking chicks walking around and most importantly beer :freaky ...better than sitting at home...and who doesn't like pirates...they're great when they roll up in their hundai SUVs (cause you know they didn't ride there in january) wearing all their leather, chains, bandannas and vests

I'm still sick so probably no riding for at least a week, but I already have something to look forward to:

it's mine for the next 6-8 weeks, I also got a permission to drop it.

I hope.... I hope I'm man enough to ride this beast: weighs less and makes more power than mine, sounds like it needs a skilled rider not a newb like me :)

You'll be fine, just make sure its pointed in a safe direction before you twist the fun grip too far. My 400 was a wild ride, I'd love to try the 525.

got most of the issues sorted: tail light re-attached, air filter cleaned, small wires repaired... bike was last used in Arizona or NM, rode hard and put away wet, I don't mind tinkering with it, owner is a good friend.

Still there is a cold start problem: battery to damn small to crank it over more than few times and kicking it is no picnic so I want to get something that will fit in the stock location but has more juice. Lithium?
Also carb leaks gas, needle probably needs cleaning, and once I started it noticed that one of the exhaust manifold screws is missing, easy fix but I was in a hurry...

Stock battery is a 7ah battery. I found a 9ah battery that fits. Well worth it.
