I want to install on my f700gs a VisionX auxiliary lights in LED, but I want to try to exploit the bmw brackets led bulbs of f800/f800adv (last model), which are these:

Can anyone tell me (with photographs if possible) where these supports are fixed in f800/f800adv?

I imagine they fixed somewhere in this piece?

    Thank you

The supports fit where bolts #7 are fixed.

There are two bolts fixing the support, not exactly to part #7 in previous picture, but very near. The part #4 is rubber support, not really fixing to anything, but a resting support.

Thanks for the replies. I too want to install fog lights on my F700GS. The problem for me is that I have both the lower BMW crash bars, and the upper Touratech crash bars on my F700GS. The local dealer didn't think that the fog light mounting bracket for the F800GS Adventure would work on the F700GS, as the Touratech upper crash bars would be in the way. there may be hope yet.

Is part number 1 in the diagram from a F800GS, or F700GS, or is it the same BMW part number on both bikes?

    Ultane,

You can see this site: www.realoem.com/bmw

But I think what this piece has the same reference in the f700gs and the f800.

Same boat as you — have you thought about mounting them to the upper crash bars? ...perhaps to the front so that when you disembark, the lights will be untouched?

I'm working with Cyclops Motorsports on a mount that will hopefully be in a location that is somewhat protected and won't take out a crapload of plastics if they get snagged on something.

Unfortunately, the Upper Touratech Crash Bars have NO surface that is perpendicular to the long axis (direction of travel) and parallel to the tarmac when mounted on the F700GS. This severely limits mounting options for any driving/fog lights on F700 bikes equipped with the upper Touratech crash bars. I inquired to my dealer about using the mounting bracket from the F800GS ADV on my F700GS, but they just scratched their head... We both thought that the F800GS ADV light bracket might put the light BEHIND the crash bar. I'd still like to test fit it just to be sure.

Fortunately, the F700GS has a much better headlight than the '07 F650GS that this bike replaced, which makes finding a solution to this predicament much less pressing. Hopefully Touratech will introduce a fix soon.

I might be wrong... Just ask my X...

If a man speaks, and no woman is present to hear him,.. Is he STILL wrong?

FWIW, I have the Touratech upper crash bars on my F800GS with the aux lights and the bars aren't in the way as far as blocking the light, but they are close.

Don't know if this is possible with Touratech bars, but I bought some hydraulic pipe mounting clamps and planned to use them like that. No perpendicular here either (under the beak they would hit the fender on bumps).

    Hi All;

For those that are interested. Touratech will have mount fixings available for their line aux lights in January 2014 to fit the 2013 and onwards BMW F800GS model. I have no idea if they would be compatible with the F700GS.

I already have the VisionX and I made the mechanical installation. I have made a bracket in an "L" to set the lights to bmw media.

The bulbs are one of 10 degree and 30 degrees to the right, to illuminate the gutter.

I want to connect the auxiliary lights without touching the electric installation of the motorcycle. There is a connector over the battery (under the false cover fuel tank) that has power only when the engine is running. I can connect the positive wire from the switch (identified by a green circle in the drawing) to the connector?
