I'll take two. How about KTM orange or black would be nice. Does the mounting bracket really weigh 4lbs. ? Max
I am in for the one gallon if my other plane foils. one more gallone on my x should give me plenty of range that I am looking for. SWEET is all I can say about that
I'd be interested in either the 1 or 2 gallon unit, plus maybe a blue 1 gallon one for water, if Jason does a small run of a different color.
Does the fuel smell permeate through the container? IE If storing it in a pannier will everything else is said pannier wreak of fuel? Do the older Kolpin mounts fit the Rotopax fuel containers?
The 4 lb bracket seems a bit much, especially if you're going to be adding one on each side. Someone needs to come up with a billet aluminum version. Hmm, maybe I'd need to put the one for water on this side: Rob in Seattle
Huh. Perhaps the website is inaccurate, 'cause that's what it says there. http://www.rotopax.com/pack-mount-rotopax-fuel-pack-atv-fuel-gas-container-gas-can-fuel-c-3-p-1-pr-70.html The larger L-bracket is listed at 8 lbs. I still think it's a great idea, and I'll end up with a couple on my F8GS one way or another. Rob in Seattle
Ummmm think again before asking for different color fuel containers, blue=kerosene or water yellow=diesel red=gasoline clear is usually water. there is the possibilty that putting the wrong fuel into a container is illegal. just food for thought. I will always use red.
Hell I was googling this product and came to this site, became a member and then it dawned on me this is a "2" wheel site not a ATV site!:huh But I have had several bikes in the past 1500 Wing, ZRX1200, XR 250, YZ450f (knee breaker) and a few older ones in the past. I have a Polaris Sportman Touring 800 right now. But I'm thinking of putting together a "older" KLR 650 into a "world tourer", as per Motorcycle Consumer News had a few years ago in 3 of there Mags. But I'm going to get me a 4 gal. gas can with my 20% discount!
I'd really like a 1g tank also, plan on ordering as soon as I see they are available, I personally don't much care what color it winds up being, so if someone needs more 1 more to get their color made feel free to pm me... otherwise I'll just order the red, which is also fine with me... thanks again for helping point this product out...
in for a 1 gallon, when available. Something other the red is ok with me as it will be for "water" since the CA law needs one of those dumb nozzles if it is for fuel
