Yea the image quality is very poor. What's up with everything being washed out in white. Camera lens fog or something:rofl

The new o ring will work for a while but just order the whole slave before spring. also a good time to rebuild the master as well.... and get a snow kit for that deeper powder..

    Here´s a little update

I installed the lambda sensor, but the adjustment of the carb still has to wait, because the weather is very bad :cry
    [IMG]

Furthermore I´ve installed a cold start extension from the 2001 660 Rally, works great !

And today I´ve got a SR-Racing exhaust, which sounds just awesome :eek1:eek1:eek1

The new gasket of the clutch cylinder is working good and not leaking any more.

Here are two pics of my last ride, made 2 or 3 miles in something like 1 1/2 hours :rofl

Had a lot of fun again yesterday :clap

The new engine seems to have to much power for the chain :lol3
Unfortunenatly this happened in the middle of nowhere, but I called a friend who managed to pick me and the chain up. We drove home and chopped off the broken chain link, went back and installed it again with a new chain lock.

Sorry about the bad image quality again, my D-SLR is just too big :(
Here´s also another crappy video and photo :lol3

    Hey Guys !
I decided to give my bike a complete rebuild.
Furthermore I´m going to mount a 640 High Flow Engine again.
The 660 was running great, but it´s "too hot" because it´s not street legal...

The frame went black matt :deal

I just ordered new orange side plastics, a front fender and fork protektors.
The windshield is going to be painted in black matt, too.

A friend of me made me a bash plate for my rally cockpit - experimental mounted with Touratech Roadbook ;)
On the top I´ll mount a new IMO 100R (you can see it some pages back) and also the control lamps...

And my new plastic parts arrived :eek1:evil

I´ve got some bad news about my new engine.
It´s not gonna be a High-Flow, but a 2002 (black) without hydraulic clutch system :cry

    I´ve got the engine yesterday.
    It´s a 2002 640 out of a Duke II with 9k km on it.
Not a 660 Rally Engine, even not a 660.... but I like it anyhow :D

I have had both. The hydro is like a switch on/off. You lose some of the feel with it. Plus they are labor intensive especially on KTMs. Not easy to repair on the trail. I had one fail me during a race. Had to ride out 30-40 miles in 1st gear thru the Appalachian mountains in a cold November rain. It turned out that the hydro tube had rubbed thru on the underside of the tank and burst. When I replaced it I took some fuel line and ran it over the outside of the tube. Then shrink wrapped the ends to prevent mud/sand from entering. Never had that problem again. In addition to better feel with the cable. You can prerun a spare ziptied right next to it. And be able to do trail side repair if needed in 15-30 minutes. I have a 01 Black Beauty. Go ahead and replace that c/s bearing. I think thats what got you on the first one.

After a few rides, I decided to sell the bike.... till today I really don´t know why I did this...it was just stupid ;)
But today I bought it back !!!! And there it is, the 2 pics are from today, I drove about 800 miles to pick it up... and it´s worth it ^^
The buyer/seller ( :rofl) installed a steering damper and rally taillights. Tommorrow I´m going to check and clean everything and take it for a test ride :)

I also got 2 brand new rally
