Yup, I am waiting for a reply back.

I just used a forum to sell an item and the buyer used PP to deposit the money in my account, no problem. However, maybe the scam here is more around the use of the "pick-up agent", as in "Hey, I paid you for the car but I never got it. No, I never heard of that pick-up agent, must have been someone else. I don't have your car, I don't have the paperwork. I am asking PP for my money back because I never received the goods." Meanwhile your car is getting chopped up or on its way to TJ.

I dunno, let us know what you find out.

funny I just sold a motorcycle, and I had some responses just like that...

I ended up selling the motorcycle to a hard working American kid who had saved up the money and earned himself a YZ 450..

all the other loser's with im tooo busy to come and sign the title over, or pick it up, or bla bla bla, I even ended up changing my add and said NO TRADES, NO PP, CASH SALE ONLY! lol...


and I ended up wtih just that... and I signed the title over and filled out all the paperwork..

This is whats known as phishing. When you provide the add in CL, you don't post your e-mail address. By answering the add, when you answer their e-mail you now have given them your e-mail address. They will now SPAM the shit out of you with other shit for sale, such as windows, Viagra/Cialis, etc.

The only scam here is giving up your e-mail address which will now be added to mailing lists to bother the shit out of you.

That is why I always use a burn email (gmail) addy anythime I put stuff up for sale. Also why I won't give out my PP addy!

I always get those "I am Cindy from Wisconsin but live in Africa now. My parents will send you the money. Blah blah blah" mails for what ever I put on Craigslist. And I always respond f*** you, do you blow, SOB, etc. One day I got a response as soon as I send an other "do you blow?" reply. It was a girl blowing someone picture and a smiley.
I replied back asking him/her "why are you doing this, how can you make money out of this", etc. But never got a reply....
But someone told me that if you get the money and send your goods, they can always complain and get their money back from PayPal and you have to deal with PayPal to prove that you are the innocent one.
