Not bad actually. The combination of the wind with the drifts means you should unload the steering by turning with the wind the second before you hit the drift, but if you don't wanna do that you can always just slow down. I took the gravel access road paralleling the 75 home today to keep the options open Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
Mark's picture of Centre Road in Texas and Meatshields description of riding in snow and side winds proves once again that Mark is in a better place this morning...:huh
McNoob...... that was great !!!! the KLR...I got it.... my Sherpa would fit right into the photo as well..
I don't disagree. For me no snow beats snow. Especially with my job, but with riding the bike it sure helps too.
Gotta work to play, I might as well be on a bike when I have to go to work Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
A few shots from Luckenbach. Met Ruben from Brownsville there today. He just got back from Argentina. He and his buddy Hector had some great stories. And a few from Willow City Loop
Nice to see Mark & Richard having a blast down south. I'm up early watching the Canada vs Sweden game (Olympics hockey). Canada is looking great out there (in control and in the lead - awesome). I read Hekto's Ecuador thread thru yesterday (great read!). I remember they had recently run into engine trouble with one of the little Sherpas. Anyone know if all is well again? Is there a ride report thread on their progress somewhere?
We are getting parts sent. Iil try and post some updates as things happen. Looks like the cyl is getting a sleeve done here in Chile Piffle & JimToe as well as OFAP did some behind the scenes tech support and footwork on this matter, and although things didn't happen as fast and smoothly as desired, we didn't dismantle Backroaders Sherpa and send the parts off of it. Hopefully the sleeve is done well & exact, the reassembly should be easy.
Glad you guys are getting it sorted out. Am amazed by things in S.A. You are in Chile? Did you ride thru Antofagasta on the coast by chance? Backroader shared the link to Rosie's blog so will work my way back to catch up on what's happening with you guys.
I prefer 90-100% road..Looking forward to the first ride of '14...Clear Lake or the Whiteshell...or? anyone?
Hi Bob, nice to see you on the forum. The way Winnipeg's weather is going the first ride might be the April Antique Motorcycle Club meeting. Sent you a PM.
