Chuck Norris doesn't need a windscreen. The air says,"Excuse me Sir, I'll get out of your way!"

I Love how this went from a zombie thread to a chuck norris with one post. Lol
But when the zombies roll around I've gotta say I'm getting a bobbed deuce and a half and putting my bikes in the back because it seems like a bad idea to go charging through a swarm of zombies on a bike.
Like this but with a roof :)

I'm also moving in next door to Chuck Norris, he doesnt need bullets.

Alrighty then. Enough about chuck norris and prime ministers.

I got my 5$ harbor freight machete and started sanding and polishing. Brand new, I think the best I could do against a zombie would be to give him a slight headache since the dam things (plural, I bought 4 to give as gifts) were so dull. But it was also ugly and dull so I thought I might as well have a shiny cheap machete instead of a dull ugly 5$ machete. right?

    New.

After sanding with 150, 220, 320, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500 and 2000. Then I took some mothers mag wheel and aluminum polish and polished it up. Not too bad for a 5$ blade. 20 $ worth of sanding and polishing on a 5$ blade....for some reason lipstick on a pig comes to mind...But hey, its shiny and I am a shine- o-holic. :D

Yep, this lamp reflection is the same as the one in the first pic...really.

Sure! 20 bucks an hour. :D You too have a 5$ machete that cost's 40$!

I did not get to the sharpening part yet. I plan on using files to get it close to be considered a edge then see how it goes from there. I figured it is better to sharpen later then to slice off a few digits while polishing...it is hard to polish with no fingers.

Add in shipping and I'll be sitting pretty at a cool 60 bucks :lol3

You have inspired me though; I'll have some free time this weekend as we have an ice storm bearing down on us so I'll see what I can do with mine.

:D An electric sander would do a much quicker job. when you get to the 600 grit and above, it will save your fingers also. It would get a mirror shine on the blade if my fingers did not cramp up. If you have the saw blade on the back of the blade, be careful not to chew up your sander! :eek1
It is not easy, but if you are a shine-a-holic like I am, it is worth it.

I put it to the grinder at work and got a fairly sharp edge. Needs some fine tuning but at least it is no longer a giant butter knife. :D
